Chapter 50

“Nice spike Ushijima!”

The crowd cheers loudly as Ushijima spiked the ball.

“Goddamn it could they're so loud.” Y/n whined as he tried to cover his ears

Beside him was the coach who only sighed at the youngers behavior. He shakes his head and focused on the game

“Give me three balls, I'll definitely become used to his spike.. This is just like Y/n all over again.” Nishinoya said while showing three fingers towards daichi and asahi who nodded at him

Back then Nishinoya had a hard time receiving Y/n's attack, especially during their Middle school days where his school had a practice match against the school where Y/n goes to. He thought that he's just an ordinary player but he was shocked when Y/n dominated the court. His spikes was painful and hard to receive that's why he practiced and practiced until he graduated middle school and then moved to karasuno in hopes that one day they'll get faced to faced again but all that went out the window when he saw Y/n wearing the familiar jacket of the karasuno

“Ah! That's why it looked kinda weird..the opponents number one is a lefty?!” Saeko said in pure shock

“That's why he approached from the right! Ryuu and the others go from left.” She added

“Ahh, so rightys have the ball set from their side! So for leftys, its the opposite” Yachi said

“Yeah that guy, seems like he was born to be an ace.” Takinoue said

Y/n was now fully awake and watching the game, his [E/c] hues followed each move the players make especially hinata and kageyama

He has an advantage knowing how the karasuno players move, but it seems like there's a few changes from them especially the duo

“The others like Ushijima are like cannons they don't participate in the defense at all. No matter if they are in the front or the back, their main objective is always to attack.”  Takinoue said as they watched the game intensely

“In the pass, this kind of athlete was known as the 'Super ace'” Akiteru said as they watched Ushijima score once again passing through Tsukishima, daichi and asahi's block

The score was now  0-4 with Shiratorizawa leading.

Not long after Ryuu spiked the ball and earned them a point.

“YEAHHHH!” Ryuu screamed

Next to serve was Asahi, he did a jump serve and spiked the ball sending it towards Shiratorizawa. As expected Ushijima have scored once again.

“Damn ushi-san is a monster.” Y/n said crossing his arms as he watched the game

“He's strong, not a monster. ” Coach washijō said

“Yeah cause the monster here is you.” Y/n mumbled

“What was that?!” The coach asked with an irk mark on his forehead

“Nothing!”

Back to the game there have been a technical timeout since Shiratorizawa has now total of eight points while karasuno has three.

“The blockers have to grasp the timing!! If you're bypassed so easily, we won't ever be able to defend, even if you can't block it try to get your hands on the ball! At least make Ushijima be aware that there is a block in front of him.” Keishin said

Soon the game started once again and Ushijima kept scoring non stop the score was now 5-11 with Shiratorizawa in favor

“Hey old man can I go to the restroom real quick?” Y/n asked

“Just hurry up.” Coach washijō grunted

Y/n nodded and immediately bolted out of the court and into the halls of the gymnasium, he looked around for the signs but couldn't find one

So he went on the other side of rye gymnasium and there he sees a very familiar make walking toward him.

“You're oikawa right?” Y/n asked standing firmly in front of oikawa who scowled at him upon seeing the color of his jersey

“Yeah and?” Oikawa asked completely annoyed

“Why are you here?” Y/n asked causing for Oikawa's eye to twicthed and an irk mark starts to appear on his forehead

“I just.- What is it to you anyway?!” Oikawa raised his voice a bit and stuffed his hands inside his pocket

“Is it because you want to see one of the team lose? Or should I say Shiratorizawa lose?” Y/n asked crossing his arms while tapping his left foot on the ground

“Why? Are you mad because of that?” Oikawa asked smirking thinking he hits a nerve at Y/n

“I don't really care to be honest. ” Y/n said monotonously as he starts walking pass oikawa who's dumbfounded at the males response.

Before Y/n could totally pass him he turned and pointed at Oikawa's glasses and smiled

“That glasses suits you by the way.” He said before turning and heading to the mens bathroom

Oikawa felt heat rushed up his cheeks as he tried to comprehend what just happened, he shakes his head and continued his way back towards the area where the match is being held

Y/n pushed the door opened and locked it, he made sure each cubicle is empty before turning at the mirror to see his reflection

He slowly peeled off the bandage covering his wound that is still in then process of healing, turning his head a bit to the side to get a good view of his wound he noticed that it'll most definitely leave a huge scar on his face

He tried opening his mouth and hissed when he felt the wound throb in pain, he noticed that a few stitches from the wound have healed up already only the part near his lips are still a bit fresh

Sighing, he pulled out a small purse inside his pocket and opened it up. Inside was his medical supplies for this wound

He puts on some cream on the fresh part of the wound and made sure to gently replaced the bandage with a new one.

“If I got hit by a ball in my face, I'm screwed.” He sighed as he puts each item back to the purse and threw the used bandage on the trash bim before leaving the Restroom

While walking he failed to noticed that there was a male following him with their hand clenched tightly.

Y/n made a turn and before he could reach for the entrance to the court he was pulled inside a room, he felt his back being slammed on the wall causing him to gasp in pain

He slowly slides down the wall and coughed out a bit, he looked up and his eyes widened when he saw the person who just grabbed him

“Kiyouske...?”
