Y/n's eyebrow twitched when he felt arms wrapped around his waist, back hugging him. He looked down and gripped the ball in embarrassment

“You really need to stop being so touchy.. Tendō-san” he mumbled

“Ohoho? Is N/n embarrassed? ” Tendō said rather loudly catching some attentions making the male grew more embarrassed

“Tendō, let go of the kid and let him practice. ” the coach said earning a small whine from the red head before finally letting go of the male

Y/n dropped the ball and head to his bag and pulled out his phone, Turning it on he was shocked seeing the notifications from one person

Tapping on the messages, everything was from Kuroo.

“You moved to shiratorizawa!? ”

*25 Missed call from Kuroo*

“Answer my call..please”

Feeling a strong wave of guilt he dialed the number and waited for kuroo to answer, after the first ring kuroo immediately answered

“Hey kur-”

“Where are you?”

Not getting the chance to finish what he's about to say, Y/n sighed and looked around the gymnasium making sure no one see's him using his device. He walked out the building for more privacy

“I'm at shiratorizawa right now..how did you know?” he asked lowering down his voice

“It spread like a wildfire you know, also shiratorizawa have posted the new volleyball club members and I saw your name at the bottom..”

Kuroo sat beside kenma who's busy playing while chewing on the pork buns they just bought.

“I see..anyways what did you want?” Y/n asked monotonously

“Meet me at the same place where we had a practice match tonight, and don't be late.”

Y/n furrowed his eyebrows at kuroo's sudden changed of tone, it went from worried to Demanding.

“I can't.” he said looking around spotting the captain who's heading towards his direction

“What do you mean you can't!? Y/n stop pushing us awa-”

Kuroo didn't get to finish his words when Y/n dropped the call, it pains him to know how much the male have changed.

Growing up with the male made him realized how fragile Y/n was, he have a heart of glass that can get shattered easily.

And the fact that he grew up with a strict family who makes sure that every male in the household becomes successful in life. He hates to admit it but Y/n became like an obedient dog to his mother who's willing to do everything just to make sure her son became like her.

And kuroo hates it.

Back then during their childhood days, Y/n barely comes out of their house. He wasnt allowed to go out and play, his mother thinks that having a friend would only be a nuisance to him

He was homeschooled until he reached middle school. Every day his mother would force him out of his room to study and if he disobeyed her..he will be punished.

What's the punishment you may ask?

Well from what kuroo have heard from the male when they met at the cafeteria during middle school. His mother would starve him for a day and would lock him inside his room, that was when he's lucky enough.. Cause the real punishment were having him play the piano and making sure he never missed a chord because if he did, she will whipped his hand with a stick until he perfects the piece.

This goes on until he reached middle school, and his mother leaving for marriage. He thought he was free from now on until high school started.

Sighing, Y/n placed back his phone inside his pocket and faced the captain in front of him

“What?” he asked boredly

“What position do you play?” Ushijima asked, Y/n raised and eyebrow and crossed his arms before giving him an answer

“Wing spiker, why'd you ask?” Y/n said

“Nothing important, get back to practice well have a practice match later.“ Ushijima said before heading back to the gymnasium

He was about to follow him when suddenly his phone rang, thinking it was kuroo he answered without looking at the callers name

“I have practice, what do you want?” he asked clearly annoyed

“Is that how you talk to your mother?”

Chills ran down his spine when he heard his mother's tone of voice, it was the same tone she would always use whenever he would get punish

“I..I'm sorry..I thought you were my friend..” Stuttering he uttered the word 'Friend' without thinking

“Friend?..Sweety did you just said Friend? Are you forgetting what I told you about having friends? They will only drag you down.”

Y/n clenched his fist tightly and bit on his buttom lip.

'no you're wrong.'

Oh how much he wanted to say that, but him being scared of his mother he couldn't.

“Why..did you called?” he asked, his voice was a bit shaky

“Oh honey! I've got some great news for you~ you see Mr.Nakamura and I have became business partners! All thanks to you ~”

Thanks to him? Why?..he was so confused why his mother was thanking him

“But I didn't do anything..” he said.

“Oh? Haha silly me~ I forgot to mention, Mr. Nakamura and I have agreed to have you marry his daughter Hikaru...you'll do it for mommy right, Y/n?”

Feeling chills running down his spine when he heard his mother say his name with venom in it, he gulped harshly. So not wanting to anger her he inhaled sharply and answered even if it'll hurt him

“Y-yes..mom.”
