chapter 1: unavoiable meeting

It was two years after wall Maria fell thanks to both the Armoured and colossal titans. The 104 cadet corps were about to start their 3 year training and the drill instructor was giving the rite of passage until he came to a light brown haired rookie.

Combatant: you there!

Rookie: (salutes) Sir!

Combatant: what are you called?

Rookie: I'm called Joshua Erwin.

Combatant: i see. What are you here for?

Josh: to retake wall Maria sir!

The combatant moved on to the other cadets.

At dinner

Josh was looking around for a seat while a group of cadets gathered around Eren, Mikasa and Armin asking questions about that day. As he continued to search for a seat, he finds a blonde haired girl sitting by herself.

Josh: excuse me?

Blonde girl: yes?

Josh: can I join you?

Blonde girl: sure

The girl lets Josh to sit with her. They are having dinner quietly until

Blonde girl: might I ask for your name?

Josh: (muffled)izh Jzsh, Jzshqw Evfln

She looked at him confused

Josh: (finishes his mouthful) sorry. It's Josh. Joshua Erwin.

Blonde girl: I'm Annie Leonhardt. Can I ask why you wanted to seat with me?

Josh: because I thought that you would like a friend to join you.

Annie: I need some time to think about being friends.

Josh: ok. But can you let me know if you want to?

Annie: sure.

She goes to put her dishes away in the dishwasher and she leaves the mess hall while Josh was finishing up with his and heads to the male barracks early. When he got there he started to read a book about something called the "history of Ramment" (he doesn't know that he is originally from Ramment) then the rest of the male cadets returned. The tall boy sees the book

Tall boy: whatcha reading?

Josh: the History of Ramment, Bertholdt.

Armin: never seen you read before, Josh.

Josh explains to the others that his father from Shiganshina gave him that book before wall Maria was breached. (Before he knew that both Orsune and Raven are his real parents) they went to bed.
