chapter 9: a temporary betrayal part 3

After receiving their packs from Hyundai, the first order squad chased after the titans but was encountered the scouts and a fight broke out all but Josh.

Armitage: go after them! We've got this.

Josh: right but remember don't kill them.

All: understood!

He rushes over to the fighting titans just as Annie was forcing Eren to get of her leg by clobbering his head and screeched at the same time.

Josh: (thinking) this fight isn't going to well, damn.

He flew over to her shoulder and grabs a hair strand as she ran towards the wall

Josh: you ok?

She shook her head

Josh: (Places a hand on her cheek) I'm here now so th- huh?

A roar was heard from behind them

Josh: damn, he's back up. You might want to cover your eye for this.

She closed one of her eyes as He clocks a smoke signal and fires a black smoke signal indicating trouble

With the rest of his squad

Kaled: Armitage!

Armitage: (pushes a scout back) yes?

Kaled points to the smoke signal

Armitage: come on squad! Josh needs our help.

All: understood.

They used their packs to catch up with both Josh and the female titan but they were followed by Eren and the scouts. As Eren went completely berserk, he start charging after them with only one leg with the scouts and the first order squad with all the carnage around them. The female titan started to climb up the wall with him hanging on to one of her legs then Mikasa came up to her as she continued to climb until she cuts her fingertips off making her to fall

Armitage: nonono. Damn it our mission will be a failure if this keep up!

Josh: blast!

After she landed on the ground. Eren started to tare her apart until Josh came to stop him but he was punched away by him

Josh: (unknown power starts up) I won't let her be destroyed by him. I WON'T!

Then a thunder like rumble exploded making him to release his grip on her face and just as he looked up Josh slaughtered his arms off first as his squad goes to cut his legs off then Josh slices his nape cover off and throws him out as Mikasa catches him.

Afterwards

As Josh and his squad were about to get clear with their new member, they were surrounded by both the MPs and the scouts.

Scout: your under arrest for your betrayal!

Scout 2: turn her over!

The two girls were supporting the sleeping Annie turn to Josh

Nesa: what do you think, Josh? Should we?

Josh: no

Hyundai: we h-

Familiar voice: that won't be necessary.

The scouts and the MPs turn to see a new arrival being Josh Haruno, Elita and the prime.

Josh: it's about time that you lot arrived

Sarah: Josh, you and your squad will take her to a room and make sure that when she awakes that you're the first person to see.

Josh: understood, prime.

MP: are you crazy?

Sarah: they're under our orders. I know that Stohess is a battlefield at the moment, I Will be having some serious words with Smith about it.

Later

Outside of Annie's room in the Republic army barracks

Armitage: I can't believe that we've managed to get her out of her titan form, just in time.

Nesa: you're right.

Then Hyundai came out with a medical bag

Hyundai: I've just finished with bandaging her head and hand. She'll be awake soon.

Kaled: that's great to hear.

As he was about to enter her room. Armitage stops him and shakes his head

Armitage: you heard the prime, kaled.

Kaled: oh right. Oops.

They left to the mess hall after their debriefing

In Annie's room

Josh was looking out the window until she woke up

Annie: (opening up her eyes slowly) Josh?

Josh: (sits next to her bed) how are you feeling?

Annie: sore.

Josh: take it easy then. (Pours a cup of water) that fight in Stohess has worn you out.

He hands her the cup until a knock was heard on the door

Josh: must be Haruno or the prime.

He goes to open her door and was greeted by commander Smith

Josh: (not happy) what do you want, Smith?

Erwin: i want to apologise for not going it your way.

Josh: If you want to apologise for not listening to me then do yourself and the scouts a favor.

Erwin: and what's that?

Josh: Leave myself and my squad alone. And that does mean Annie too.

Erwin: very well.

Annie: Wait!

The two men turn to her

Erwin: what is it?

Annie: I have important information about the Colossal and the Armoured titans.

But that'll wait till next time sorry.
