chapter 8: a temporary betrayal part 2

A few hours earlier:

at the scout regiment headquarters. Josh Haruno and Elita were chatting until Armin came over

Armin: have either of you seen Josh?

Haruno: no sorry.

Armin: ok thanks anyway.

He runs off

Elita: you know about his squad don't you?

Haruno: yes. And they're on their way to meet up with Josh and the female titan

Elita: we better hope that he knows what he's doing.

Haruno: agreed.

Just after Annie's transformation

Josh: (calls out to the scouts in civilian clothes) If you think that you can take her alive you better think twice. (To Annie in her titan form) reveal the secret of the wall.

As she ran off. the scouts pursued after her, forcing her to fight back in defence when Josh saw this he fired a green smoke signal indicating that the mission for his squad was a go. He ordered some of his members to go on ahead and take the traps apart if they see some while he defends his friend.

(Members of the first order squad currently are: Hyundai Cashre, Armitage Hux, Kaled Xerox, Nesa Claes and Josh Erwin. Note: three are ocs of mine).

As the four of the squad search around the city, Josh fights against both the Scouts and Mikasa alongside the female titan, as Mikasa tries to take the titan out, Josh dashes intercept her when he did the two had interlocked their blades

Mikasa: What are you doing, Josh? She killed most of the scouts during the expedition!

Josh: yeah right! She's only defending herself from you lot!

Mikasa didn't like what he just said then she kicked him back and went after the female titan with Josh followed her

With the four of the secret squad, Hyundai finds an ambush waiting in wait and she goes over to Armitage

Hyundai: There's an ambush waiting for the female titan, Armitage.

Armitage: thanks. (Draws sword) let's get to work. And remember, we don't kill them just dismantle the trap.

Hyundai: understood. Non killing?

Armitage: non killing.

As they were about to dismantle the trap, they felt tremors heading towards them.

Armitage: oh no. (To the others) take apart the trap, QUICK!

They head over to the trap and took it apart with ease making the female titan go past without problems.

Section commander: what the heck?! What's wrong with you?

Armitage: we're under orders to protect her.

They followed the female titan when she stopped as Josh and his squad regrouped. He zips over to her shoulder.

Josh: are you doing ok?

She nods then suddenly a green lighting struck and thunder rumbled as the ground shook of another titan appeared

Josh: oh Shit!

As a fist appeared out of nowhere knocking Josh off the female titan's shoulder as Armitage caught him he shook his head in disbelief.

Armitage: you ok?

Josh: yeah, thanks.

The two zipped over to the rest of the squad

Nesa: what now?

Josh: Hyundai, I believe it's time to use the jet steamed packs.

Hyundai: (smiles) understood sir.

A week earlier

After the 57th expedition was a failure. Sarah Saerity Prime has given Josh a squad of his own. He meets two girls and two boys one of which was a research expert while the rest of them are great fighters.

At the mess hall

As one of the two girls brought some experimental snacks

Josh: i would like to thank you for taking your time to get to know one another

Girl 1: our pleasure, captain.

Girl 2: (excited) can I be first?

Josh: sure

Girl 2: my name is Hyundai Cashre and I'm a research expert.

Josh: and what do you research?

Hyundai: advanced odm and weapons designer. And I've brought some interesting snacks.

She passed around some unusual shaped cookies around the group

Girl 1: I'm Nesa Claes and I have the most kills of our Asterling enemies.

Boy 1: if you mean brutally killing our enemies by slicing them in half the most kills. you would be the most deadly out of us. Oh I'm Kaled Xerox and I have the most titan kills. Nice to meet you, Josh.

Josh: likewise, Kaled.

Boy 2: the names Armitage. And I'm your right hand man of the squad.

Josh: nice to meet you all. We've got our first mission.

Armitage: and what's the mission?

Josh: to find and protect our last member.

Nesa: whose that?

Josh: Annie Leonhardt.

All: WHAT?!

Hyundai: are you crazy!?

Kaled: The female titan?

Nesa: that's nuts!

Josh: I know but if we don't then the scouts would take her prisoner. Is that ok?

The others hesitated and agreed with their mission. After the squad dispersed for the day, Josh notices Hyundai was twecking at a backpack without cable launchers outside in the training arena

Josh: whatcha working on?

Hyundai: something unquie.

Josh: looks like a backpack

Hyundai: it is but I've modified them by removing the usual fabric and putting in a metallic base in where you put your stuff in then a jet steam cylinder in the centre and the exhausts on either side. (Click was sound) And done! Want to try it out?

Josh: Sure.

After he put the backpack on his back

Josh: so what now?

Hyundai gives him a remote

Josh: uh? Why are you giving me this?

Hyundai: you're not going to go anywhere without it. It controls the pack so that you need to hover or fly around.

Josh: oh right.

He pressed a button on the remote and watched in amazement when he started to hover and Hyundai was getting excited

Hyundai: (excited) IT WORKS! IT W- ohh

Then Josh crashed into the ground without a scratch

Josh: (muffled) I'm ok! Just a bit dusty.

Hyundai: phew! That's great.

Hyundai finds a hidden create with four backpacks after she had put one on her back then she heads back to the rest then hands them their packs and the squad flew towards the fighting giants.
