I sat in the ocean of green grass, my back against an old Oak tree. There, next to me, lays the body of my best friend and crush. I watch as his gentle breaths make his chest go up and down, how his spiky green hair would get any blade of grass jealous, his angelic eyes that were right now closed.... suddenly his eyes flutter open and his gaze meets mine.
Our eyes drowning in each others color, trying to escape but unable to.
I'm finally able to look away and just stare at the sky, not being able to tell if his eyes are still on me. We sat in awkward silence, until his sweet voice broke it.
''Hey, killua...'' i turned my head to meet his eyes, the same ones i'd fall for, over and over. ''Yea?'' i answer trying not to sound nervous, but there was an obvious hint of anxiety in my voice.
''have you ever.. liked someone? As in, like like..'' he questioned, a tint of pink dusted his face. I
just sat there, i could already feel my cheeks heating up. 'should i confess? if i say yes he'll surely ask who.. or should i lie and say no?' my thoughts rambled over each other until i noticed the boy waiting for his answer.
''Erm well... yea.'' I said, quickly noticing what I've said 'oh shit' his face lit up like a Christmas tree,
''Really? Who?!' he said then quickly got closer so that his hands were inches away from mine.
I could feel my face heating up more than before as i tried to think of an way out of the conversation.
''well uhm..-'' i started until i was cut off by his devilish smirk.
''Ooo killua has a crushhh, wait let me try to guess! Is it Retz?"
he looked at me eagerly ''Uhm no actually.. its a boy..'' i realized what an mistake I've made. 'well shit. Now i probably just lost my only friend because i told him in gay.'
''Oh really?'' he said, as if it didn't bother him. We sat in a long silence until he once again broke it. ''Killua.. is your crush perhaps.. me by any chance?'' i could hear the slight worry and sadness in his voice and my face went completely red.
After another while of silence he spoke again, ''Killua, if its me, i like you too.' he turned to me and smiled a genuine smile. I felt like my heart was going to rip out of my chest.
My stomach was filled with butterflies as i started getting light headed. ''y-you do?''
i finally managed to croak out. I watched as his smile grew wider.
''Mhm! A lot actually!'' he said as he leaned into my face.
I felt his warm breath softly brushing against my face.
Before I could say anything, I felt soft lips on mine. It took a few seconds to process what was happening until i noticed 'he's kissing me..' i felt as if my stomach did a bunch of back flips and i felt a large weight get lifted off my shoulders.
