Chapter 4

You had planned the entire thing out. You were to get a job at the Plaza and help with recon and to be working inside. You were unsure of this but Hans had managed to persuade you. You managed to get a job as the assistant for this woman called Holly. Because you had a good education in England and Germany you were seen as the perfect candidate for the role.

You got ready for going to America. You had never been before and you were worried. You were to work for a month before the heist. Finishing packing you heard your door open. Hans stood in the doorway. "Change of plan" Hans said, coming into the room. "I am coming with you". You looked confused. "Karl can handle the rest of the preparation here" Hans explained. "I am coming with you to make sure you are safe and to make sure the location is set."

You nodded and smiled. "It will be nice to have company" you said.

"Yes" he said and brought a box out of his pocket. "To make this work, we need to look like we are married," Hans said. You raised your eyebrows. "You also did say you where married on your application"

"I guess I did" you said.

"But this isn't real" he said quickly. "It gives another layer of security"

Your heart slightly fell but you didn't show it as Hans put the ring on the bed and walked to the doorway. "We are newlyweds who are going to America for your work" he said. "We met at the Opera and married in Sophia church"

"What opera?" you asked.

"Turn of the screw" he said.

"What day did we marry?"

"today last month." he said. "I will explain further in the car.

You packed further and opened the box, there was a little paper which had the information of your marriage and relationship on. You slipped the beautiful ring on your finger and smiled. You grabbed your bag and put it in the car. Hans sat in the back and smiled as you sat next to him. Karl started to drive towards the airport while Hans explained the rest of the information to you. He wore a pain band on his finger. You smirked slightly. Suddenly he kissed you and you jumped in surprise. "You need to get used to that" he whispered. "Seeing as we are married"

"Oh yeah" you said

"We need to look like we are deeply in love with each other" he said. "Look at me" you looked at him and he smirked. He patted your cheek and lead you out of the car. He laced his fingers in yours and got the bags out of the car and onto a trolley.

"We will see you Karl" he said. "Call me if there are any issues"

Karl nodded and drove away.

"Come on baby" he said and pulled you towards the entrance of the airport.

You got used to his fingers laced into yours, starting to like it and getting into your character as his wife. You got towards the entrance desk and smiled as you gave the tickets and passport over.

You got through with Hans easily and walked towards the security. "I have a gun with us" he whispered. "Walk towards the grey-haired man. I have him paid off" you nodded and giggled like he had told you a joke and kissed his cheek.

Hans smirked as you walked over to the grey-haired man. The man smiled at Hans and nodded. Getting through security was easy and soon you were sitting together, waiting to be called for the plane. You laid your head on Hans' shoulder and smiled, your hand still in his.

"How long have you been married for?" a woman asked who sat in front of you. Her husband sat next to her.

"A month today" Hans said and kissed you.

"Isn't that lovely" the woman said. "Isn't it lovely Harold" she said, poking her husband.

"What, oh yeah" he said.

"I am Jane" she said.

"I'm (y/n) Gruber" you said "and this silly man is Hans" you said giggling. Hans smirked.

"well, it is nice to meet two newlyweds so in love" Jane sighed. "Reminds me when we met" she said. "Isn't it Harold?" she poked her husband again.

"Oh yeah" he said.

Suddenly a plane to England was called. "That's us!" Jane said and got up. "It's nice meeting you two" she said and walked away with her husband.

Hans chuckled at what happened and you smiled. Suddenly Hans kissed you, you where surprised and kissed back, relaxing into him. You stayed there for a second and Hans let go. Suddenly you saw why he kissed you. Joseph had walked past you two and was walking towards the plane to England. You still enjoyed it and smirked at Hans's face.

Soon you were called to your plane. Hans took your hand again and together you walked to the plane. Showing the tickets you got onto the first-class part of the plane and sat together.

"Well, 14 hours to go" he said and smirked. He checked let go of your hand and checked his watch.

"Why don't we spend this time learning more about each other?" you ask.

"Why not" Hans said.

You talked for most of the flight. Getting to know each other very well. About halfway through you started to feel tired and yawned, putting your head on Hans' shoulder.

"Sleep tight darling," he said and kissed your head.

Hans enjoyed this cover and wanted this not to just be a facade. He found you funny and kind. He watched you sleep on his shoulder and smiled. This wouldn't be bad, he thought. The real reason he wanted to come with you was to keep you safe and spend this time with you which he enjoyed very much. He kissed your head again and relaxed into the seat behind him.
