Punishment

"Time for your punishment," he said with that same grin again.

I sighed and asked, "what is it this time Danny?" When I tried to stand up he stopped me with his finger and sternly said, "No. Get on your knees." My face reflected a mixture of fear and confusion. But what he said next sent me in an anxious rush. 

He leaned down, put his lips close to my ear, and whispered "I want you to give me 25 push-ups right now."

Tears nearly formed in my eyes "Oh god. Please, anything but that Danny, I-" "Start," he demanded. Danny was a very cruel person for doing this to me. Besides walking up the stairs everyday, I didn't do much physical activities, especially not ones that required as much upper body strength as push ups. Nevertheless, I tried to give Danny what he wanted. Shakily, I managed to get 2 full push-ups in before I was a complete mess.

"Faster," Danny demanded as I sweated and whimpered helplessly. As he laughed mischievously at my pain, I couldn't help but think of how all my life choices had led to me on the floor humiliating myself in front of Danny at midnight. "Those elbows are not at a 90 degree angle ma'am!" he nagged. "I.... can't...." I cried weakly. I then collapsed on the floor. "Pathetic," he laughed.
