"Ah... that feels so good..." Mothra moaned softly, lying on her stomach.
"I'm not hurting you, am I?" Godzilla asked as he pushed against her.
"No, you're doing great." Mothra sighed. "Keep going, please."
Godzilla had been massaging Mothra's back for the last few minutes. She had mentioned her back was sore from the previous night, so Godzilla took it upon himself to make her feel better. Mothra was surprised by his skill.
"Since when are you such a masseur?" She chuckled. Godzilla's hands felt amazing on her back. After a few more moments, he stopped, taking his hands off of her.
"How do you feel now?" Godzilla asked.
"Much better, thank you, babe." Mothra nodded. She swivelled herself around in Godzilla's lap and kissed him, wrapping her arms around him. "So, what should we do now?"
"Well, we're gonna be here for a week. We'd may as well check out the rest of the resort." Godzilla suggested.
"Didn't you say you wanted to keep a low profile while we were here?" Mothra asked.
"As long as nobody points us out, we should be okay." Godzilla explained. "I told the staff to leave us alone for the week."
"Sounds great, then." Mothra smiled, planting another kiss on Godzilla's lips. She got up and put on a white bathrobe that was hanging on a hook outside the bathroom. She walked over to the balcony, which was overlooking a huge pool. They were on the top floor, which allowed her to see everything going on below her. She smiled as her eyes drifted towards her engagement ring, watching as the light shone through the gem. She held it up to the sun to get a better look at it. Godzilla told her it was give to him by Gojirin, his mother. The sentiment alone made it special. She sighed and lowered her hand to continue gazing at the sky, but as soon as she did, her smile immediately fell. Something was falling from the sky. Before she could say a word, whatever was falling landed with a crash to the ground below. Godzilla rushed over to the balcony to see what had caused the crash.
"What happened?" He asked, looking down at the pool area, which was now empty aside from the object. It was some kind of mechanical pod. He eyed it carefully from the balcony.
"What is that thing?" He muttered.
"I have no idea." Mothra responded. "...You don't think..."
"That Ghidorah sent us another 'wedding gift'?" Godzilla finished, now much angrier. "That's exactly what I'm thinking."
As they watched the pod, it began to open with a hiss of steam. It split open into three pieces like a tulip, and out of it stepped a dark figure. It was tall, slender, and carbon fibre black from head to toe, except for a bright red visor.
"Um... Godzilla?" Mothra asked. "Does that guy look... familiar to you?"
Godzilla looked harder, and found that it bared a striking resemblance to an old foe of theirs, MechaGodzilla. MechaGodzilla was an artificially intellegent robot built by aliens to destroy him and his father. More recently, it had been acquired by Ghidorah as part of his army, and reprogrammed to obey him. But that MechaGodzilla had been destroyed years ago. This seemed to be a new version of it.
"We'd better get down there." Godzilla said. Mothra nodded, and the two hopped off the balcony. Mothra gently floated to the ground while Godzilla fell straight down, rolling as he landed into a kneeling position. As soon as MechaGodzilla heard them land, it swivelled its head towards them, making an unsettling mechanical noise as it did so. As it locked its view onto them, its internal computer verified them as enemies. It reached down into the pod it came from and withdrew some kind of device. It seemed to be folded up, and MechaGodzilla began to assemble it as he approached them. Godzilla could now see what it truly was; a collapsable rifle of some kind. He gasped as MechaGodzilla unfolded the gun and aim it at him and Mothra.
"Get down!" He shouted, sticking his arm out as Mothra got behind him. MechaGodzilla opened fire on him, and Godzilla grimaced as the bullets tore his skin. The gun was automatic, emptying its entire clip within seconds. Luckily, nothing hit Godzilla directly, and he only got grazed. He checked behind him to see Mothra was unharmed, and sighed in relief seeing her perfectly safe.
"That's new." He muttered.
"Yeah..." Mothra chuckled nervously.
MechaGodzilla began to reload, and in the brief moment Godzilla readied himself by summoning his mana blade. Mothra, not having her knives with her, summoned two fireballs in her hands once again. She stepped in front of Godzilla and threw them at MechaGodzilla one after the other. They both hit it in the chest dead on, knocking it back and causing it to lose its footing and step back. Despite this, it appeared the fire did not damage MechaGodzilla at all. She tried again with her other forms of projectiles, but nothing could damage MechaGodzilla.
"I can't hurt him!" She said, frustration radiating from her voice.
"Ghidorah must have had his armour upgraded." Godzilla guessed. "He can't be hurt by projectiles. We gotta get up close and personal."
Luckily, Mothra's attack had distracted it, and prevented it from reloading. But now that it had refocussed, it was beginning to reload again. Godzilla took to opportunity and ran at it, brandishing his mana blade. MechaGodzilla saw him coming and retaliated with its own attack, swinging with the butt of its gun. Godzilla dodged the attack, sliding underneath the gun as he ran past. With one swing of his mana blade sliced through MechaGodzilla's arm easily. But this left him open for an attack. MechaGodzilla swung its other arm at Godzilla's back, sending him stumbling forwards. Meanwhile, its entire torso swivelled around, allowing it to pick up the gun with its good hand. MechaGodzilla aimed the gun and began firing another stream of bullets. Godzilla managed to turn around just in time to get hit by one in the stomach. He yelled out in pain as the impact sent him backwards. He landed on his back, clutching the bullet wound as it gushed blood. The mana blade dissintigrated into pink particles of solid mana energy. He would be able to heal it quickly once the bullet was removed, but he didn't have time to remove it now. MechaGodzilla was above him, sparks flying from what was left of its arm. The gun was still in its hand, and Godzilla guessed there was still at least one bullet left in the clip as the barrel was pressed against his head. He tried to get up to move, but the pain from the gut shot was too much for him. Luckily, another bullet never touched him. The arm holding it seemed to be frozen in place, along with the rest of the robotic body. When Godzilla looked up, he realized MechaGodzilla's head was gone. Sparks flew from the now vacant neck. Godzilla quickly realized what had happened. Mothra had picked up a part of the mana blade that wasn't completely disintegrated, and decapitated MechaGodzilla before it had a chance to shoot him. The machine was frozen in its spot as its good arm slowly fell limp and dropped the gun and eventually fell to the ground. Mothra kicked the weapon away from them. She hated guns with a passion. She ran over to Godzilla and knelt over him.
"Are you alright?" She asked. Godzilla winced as he tried to move.
"Not really, no." He managed to mutter through his immense pain. He uncovered the wound on his stomach. Mothra gasped as she saw it. Godzilla grabbed her hand tightly before she could say anything. He could tell the sight of him with a bullet lodged in his gut would terrify her, so he wanted to calm her down first and foremost.
"It's okay. I'm gonna be fine." He assured. "As soon as I get this bullet out, I'll be able to heal the wound."
Mothra didn't say anything. She wanted to heal him herself, but she couldn't do bullet wounds either. Something lodged inside the wound completely negated her ability to heal it.
"I should be able to remove it..." She eventually spoke. "I'll just need some tweezers and maybe a knife..."
Before she could finish her thought, Godzilla took a deep breath and shoved his fingers inside the wound. He closed his eyes and gritted his teeth. It certainly didn't feel good. After a few seconds of digging around inside his own wound, he managed to get a grip on the bullet and yank it out. Mothra felt a mixture of fear, shock, concern, and disgust as she watched him do this. She stared with wide eyes at the crumpled, bloody bullet in Godzilla's fingers.
"Looks like Ghidorah's not messing around this time." He muttered. "He really wants me dead."
He angrily threw the bullet to the side and managed to stand up. As he had said, the wound was completely healed now. Other than the massive amounts of now dry blood, there was almost no way to tell he had been shot. He walked past the now immensely concerned Mothra and made his way to the head of MechaGodzilla. He picked it up, only to see its visor was still glowing. It was still alive.
"I dunno if you can hear me, but I'm guessing Ghidorah was observing all that somehow." He said. "So I'm sure he'll be happy to see his little robot failed again."
"I am not the only one." A voice came out of MechaGodzilla's head. It was robotic, like a text-to-speech program or an autotuned singer. Godzilla was surprised. MechaGodzilla had never talked before.
"What did you just say?" He demanded.
"I am a prototype MechaGodzilla unit created by SpaceGodzilla, and perfected by King Ghidorah." MechaGodzilla went on to explain. "I am one of many prototype units sent to various locations in Japan in order to record fighting data of strong Kaiju like yourself."
Godzilla seethed as he heard both those names. Two of his greatest nemesis were working together now, it seemed. Just when he thought his life was getting easier, two wrenches were thrown into his plans. But he was able to keep himself calm. That was until the MechaGodzilla unit's face opened up, revealing a screen underneath. And the image on that screen was of Ghidorah himself. His smug face and golden mask seemingly mocking Godzilla as he smirked at the camera filming him.
"If this video is being viewed, it means the MechaGodzilla prototype has been defeated, and our test was a success." Ghidorah began. "I assume it already told you of our plans. As I speak, more tests are being carried out by units just like this. I expect minor casualties, of course. But nothing compared to what we have planned."
Ghidorah seemed to lean in closer. "I know this one is going to Godzilla's location, so I hope he's the one watching this." ahe smirked, still smug as ever. "Hope you had fun fighting the prototype. Oh, and congratulations. On your and Mothra's wedding, I mean. I certainly hope you two enjoy what's left of your relaxing honeymoon. Because it's the last bit of peace you will ever have."
That was the last straw for Godzilla. He yelled in anger and smashed the head into the ground. He threw it with such force that the vary pavement beneath him cracked slightly. He head, of course, was now completely shattered. And even more so after Godzilla drove his foot into what was left of it. He was practically shaking with rage. He only calmed down as he heard Mothra's voice.
"Godzilla?" She asked. Her sweet voice was like ice, cooling the boiling water of Godzilla's anger. He breathed to calm himself and turned to face her. But as he did, he realized something. The entire area around them was in chaos and disarray. The MechaGodzilla unit had caused a lot of collateral damage. And not only that, but they were completely surrounded. Staff, other guests at the resort, even some people from off the street had seen the battle and subsequently, Godzilla and Mothra. They had been found out. Godzilla breathed a deep sigh.
"So much for a low profile." He muttered
