Mothra and the others tore through MechaGodzilla units like no problem. She smirked as she plowed through them as if they were nothing. With Ghidorah seemingly taken care of, she was free to defend the beach along with her friends. But suddenly, she felt something. Something bad. Something approaching them. She looked up to see a bright light coming straight for her. It snapped her out of her trance and dodged out of the way. The bright light was actually a beam of energy, slicing through the battlefield like a knife. The beam stopped, and Mothra could see that luckily nobody was hurt. She looked up to the source of the beam and heard a familiar screech. Her eyes widened. It was here. Titan Ghidorah burst through the clouds and roared, flapping its new mechanical wings. Mothra now knew what Jet meant by a cyborg Titan. It was truly terrifying. But as frightening as the thing was, Mothra could sense something; a life force. She found this strange, considering the fact that the Titan was definitely dead. But something inside it was definitely alive.
"But how can that be?" Mothra asked herself as she flew around it, looking for a weak spot. It had none, but she knew she had to investigate this further. But she knew she'd never be able to do so if it kept attacking. Luckily, she remembered something. Or rather, she remembered someone. She flew around to search for Muto. Eventually, she found her in the battlefield, and dove down to talk to her.
"Muto, think you can cause an EMP big enough to stop that thing?" She asked. Muto gasped, remembering she had the ability to expel an electromagnetic pulse. It had been so long since she'd used it, she had almost forgotten about it.
"I can try, but you gotta cover me." She said. Mothra nodded, and Muto began to get ready as Mothra defended her. In order to cause an EMP, she would need to charge up for at least 30 seconds, but she doubted that would be enough to take out Mecha Titan Ghidorah. She closed her eyes and inhaled deeply, drawing in the magnetic energy of the earth. The energy gathering inside her made her hair stand on end. Finally, after about a minute, she raised her fist in the air and slammed it on the ground. Mothra could feel the shockwave the burst out from the impact. Not only did it temporarily take out several MechaGodzillas in the area, but it also made Mecha Titan Ghidorah stop in its tracks. The green eyes in its mechanical head went dark, and the heads and wings slumped downwards. Mothra smirked. Her plan had worked.
"How long do we have?" She asked,
"Not long. I'd say about four minutes before it starts up again." Muto asked. "I won't be able to do another EMP for about an hour after that, so whatever you wanna do, do it now."
Mothra nodded and flew up towards it. Her plan was to get inside the Titan and figure out what the life force she sensed was. But right before she could reach it, she was suddenly wracked with pain. It as if she had been struck by lightning, but she knew better. She had become trapped in one of Ghidorah's gravity beams. She slammed into the ground, only a few meters from Ghidorah's feet.
"What have you done to my Titan?" He growled.
Mothra quickly got to her feet and drew Godzilla's sword. "W-what did you do to Megaguirus and the others?!" She demanded.
"They're fine." Ghidorah stated. "I'd kill them if you weren't distracting me."
Mothra sighed in relief, realizing her new allies were safe, and got into a battle stance. She didn't have much time to waste, so she needed to incapacitate him quickly so she could investigate the Titan. But this would prove harder than it sounded. The two were equally matched, and no clear winner could be decided any time soon. She felt that nothing she could do would stop him. That was, until she felt a hand on her shoulder.
"Need some help?" The owner of the hand asked. It was Gojira. She smiled again, while Ghidorah scowled at him.
"Don't think you can distract me that easily." He hissed. He fired another gravity beam at Mothra, but Gojira jumped in front of her and blocked the beam with his swords.
"Go, now!" He demanded.
Mothra nodded and sheathed the sword. She flew into the air, while Ghidorah's eyes followed her closely. He gritted his teeth and stopped the gravity beam as he watched her fly away.
"No!" He shouted. He prepared to fly after her, but a blow from Gojira's sword clashing into his armour distracted him. He swung back with his own sword and the two began to fight.
"You think you're still a challenge to me?" He spat. "If I can kill your son, I can kill you!"
Gojira scowled as he mentioned Godzilla. In truth, he was boiling with rage as he saw Ghidorah's smug face. But he couldn't show his anger to Ghidorah. He needed to stay focussed. He wasn't sure what Mothra had planned, but he had faith that whatever it was, it would work.
