During the course of the night, you had rolled over, now facing the window. The early morning sun beamed through the window. You opened your eyes halfway and quickly closed them tightly with a drawn out groan, the light violated your retinas, leaving you feeling blinded.

Ed lazily threw an arm out just about reaching yours. He pulled you in close and flipped you over, spooning you. Both now facing the wall and ignoring the glaring sun, you giggled. Ed hissed at the sun for the rude awakening, squeezing you tight in his warm embrace.

"Eddie, I know it's early but do you reckon we could take a trip to my apartment? Sadly I can't live solely in your clothes and one set of loungewear. My housemate could have filed for a missing person's case at this point, I should probably keep him in the know." Ed cocked his eyebrow, propping himself up on his elbow and looking down at you.
"I thought you lived with another woman?" He asked, confused and ever so slightly jealous of the man. But he continued to recall regardless, "Yes, I'm sure you told me she was always out at karaoke nights with the girls."
"A gay man, Ed." You chuckled at his blatant jealousy.
"Oh that's right." He flashed you a flushed smile, disappointed in himself for his bitterness and wishing he'd have listened better.
"It's alright silly, you're allowed to be jealous, you're very alike actually, I think you'd get along great." He brushed off your patronising comment with a sarcastic smile and focused on the hidden invitation.
"Can I meet him? I don't really have any friends so I'd like to share yours." Ed asked sincerely, now cuddling you again and kissing your cheek.
"If you drive me there now you can, he should be in at this hour... I'd hope anyway." Intrigued by the idea of the man, Ed nodded and got up to pull on some brown tartan trousers, throwing you one of his paint stained t-shirts and your newly acquired red tartan joggers. You tied a knot in the front of the stupidly oversized t-shirt so it hugged your figure in a more flattering manner and pulled on your joggers. Ed looked you up and down, raising his brows and pouting his lips.

"How do you look so good in my clothes?" He crouched down to your eye level and wrapped his arms around your waist, lifting you up, you snaked your legs around his torso and he carried you out of his apartment, picking up his car keys as he slammed the door behind him.

You arrived at your apartment some time later, unlocking the door and dragging Ed in behind you. He was lagging behind with his hands in his coat pockets, pretending to observe the quite frankly horrible excuse for art hanging on the walls of the corridors, in reality he was just stalling as he was nervous to meet your roommate.
"Doors locked, so i'm guessing no one's home..." You said suspiciously, not entirely convinced that the apartment was empty but sticking with your assumption. You entered the front room, gesturing for Ed to follow you, and closed the door behind you.
"Maybe we could..." You started, Ed's eyebrows furrowed and he smiled judgmentally.
"Sweetheart are you obsessed with sex?" He teased.
"Only with you... I'm just saying Eddie, a change of scenery wouldn't go amiss..." You said suggestively.
"You're sure he isn't home?"
"Probably not, he wouldn't mind anyway, he'd be thrilled for me. If anything we'd be applauded."
"I don't know if I want to be applauded... by anyone but you of course." Ed scoffed, now imagining what it would've been like if you clapped when he finished over your face last night.

You pulled Ed onto the sofa and sat him down, straddling his lap. You kissed him passionately and pressed yourself down onto his aching crotch.
"So you're always naughty then, no matter where we are. You'll be reaching over and tugging me off in my car next..."
"That was meant to be a surprise, get out of my mind." You mocked. Ed reached his hands around your hips and grabbed your ass in his large hands, squeezing and kneading your cheeks. You hummed, enjoying the sensation.
"Well this sounds like fun can I join?" A man's voice questioned sarcastically, he stood in the doorway leaning against the frame with his arms crossed and eyebrows raised. You jumped off of Ed, wide eyed, and sat down next to him. Ed was beyond embarrassed that this was how he was first meeting your roommate, sprawled out on the man's sofa, fully erect.
"Oh shit! Wren I'm sorry I assumed you were out, This is-" Your roommate cut you off, enjoying having the upper hand after catching you stradling who he believed to be a colleague.
"Don't tell me this is the painter you've been modelling for, (y/n) it's his job to stare at your tits all day, not his choice." He teased, bringing you in for a bear hug.
"He's fucking gorgeous though, nice work chicken." He whispered to you, you giggled in response and Ed looked at you wishing he'd heard the reamark as he assumed he was subject matter.
"Well Mr Painter, you've done well haven't you." Wren quipped, shaking Ed's hand and pulling him in for a hug.
"You're telling me." Ed replied, winking at you over Wren's shoulder.
"Shall I leave you to get on with it before he goes soft or has the moment passed?"
"Wren!" You shouted, slapping his arm.
"Shall I start apologising for him now or should we make a tally chart and I'll make it up to you later?" You chuckled, attempting to gauge Ed's reaction to your sardonic roommate.
"Oh hush, I like him, he's not afraid to say what he thinks, that's admirable." Ed smiled, still slightly embarrassed by his erection that was taking its time to go down. He pulled you in front of him to cover himself and disguised the motion as an act of affection, throwing his arms over your shoulders and kissing the back of your head.
"I think I should chat to Wren about everything, catch him up to speed, could you give us a few minutes?" You asked, hoping he wasn't hurt by your question.
"Sure." He smiled, "I'll be in the corridor, critiquing the abstracts."

"Tell me everything- okay not everything I already know he's got a huge cock I could feel it when he hugged me." Your roommate admitted, not in the slightest bit ashamed.
"My god man keep it in your pants, if he could, you can." You teased.

Wren began eagerly probing you for every bit of information you had on the man, he'd always wanted you to find someone and knew if you'd brought him home it was serious. You told him everything until he was wide eyed with shock and red in the face at your admission of degradation kinks and blatant daddy issues. He'd never expected that from you but wasn't one to kink shame.

"I love him Wren, genuine and real love." You concluded.
"Does he know that?"
"I told him." You winced, knowing he was terrified of 'the L word'.
"Christ (y/n), and that didn't scare him off." he muttered, hoping you hadn't blown it at the first hurdle like he had many times before.
"He said it first. Well, not that exactly, he said he'd fallen in love with me."
"Fuck." Wren said, shocked but simultaneously really happy for you.
"So, I came back to let you know I was alive-"
"I was ready to send out a search party but had a feeling you'd pop by today." He was lying of course, he liked to think he foresaw everything but in reality he saw the car pull up outside by chance and watched you through the window as you dragged Ed through the corridors.
"And to tell you I'm moving out." You were both silent for a second. Wren looked hurt but didn't want to ruin your bittersweet news so quickly overcompensated with a huge grin and a hug.
"Whatever makes you truly happy my sweet."
"He doesn't live far does he? Can we still do karaoke every week?" Wren hoped, grabbing the tops of your arms in anticipation.
"Not far, only a 20 minute drive. Of course we can." You reassured him.
"Will he join?"
"I'll try to make him but you're much better at convincing people, how else would I have ever agreed to make such a fool out of myself every week for 2 years."

"Bring him back in, the poor fucker, he's wandering around like a lost puppy. I'm happy for you (y/n), fly like the wind, fuck like a pornstar, what else do you want me to say?!" You laughed at his very typical response to your big news, glad he took it well.

You swung the door open and called down the corridor, "Darling, we're done gossiping about how good you are in bed you can come back in now and put your money where your mouth is!" You shouted, Wren laughed and wolf whistled as Ed strutted down the hallway and back into the apartment with a smirk.
"Seriously though, you guys look great together and I hope you make each other happy. You seem like a good guy Painter."
"Thank you." Ed smiled, not phased by the nickname.

"I'll go grab some stuff and put it in bags, you two can sit and fight over who loves me more." You left, leaving them with not much of a conversation topic.
"What else do you want to know?" Ed asked, almost able to see the overflow of thoughts in Wren's head. He was happy to discuss them all, you were the only topic he could ponder over all day and night. Wren didn't hesitate to accept his offer.

"Do you truly love her, I don't mean to pry I've just never seen her like this before and I just need to know it's not just sex." Ed stiffened, ready to wear his heart truly on his sleeve in front of a man that didn't even know his name.
"With every inch of myself, every dent in her skin, every strand of hair on her head, her smell, her laugh, her soul. Every morning, every night, there's no doubt in my mind. You have my word Wren." Wren nodded, appreciating Ed's honesty.

"She loves you too y'know, I didn't think she'd ever look at another man. Thought I'd have to make myself scarce for a while, just my voice used to make her jump. And that was months after any of it happened, I didn't know how to help."
"I know the feeling, I remember finding her outside my apartment a few too many times and even my presence would freak her out. I was determined to change that."
"You've done a fucking good job, look at her go." Wren gestured to the crack in the door, you both stood spying on her through the opening as she zipped up the final bag with a grin on her face, reciting the same few items to herself under her breath to make sure she didn't leave anything important behind.

"Right chicken, hurry up and get out, I've got a guy coming at midday to fix the sink."
"The sinks fine what are yo-" Wren smirked and gave you a knowing look.
"I won't miss your cryptic code, you're disgusting, I miss you already." You wrapped your arms around his neck and kissed his cheek.
"Look after her Painter." he reminded Ed.
"My word, Wren." Ed reiterated, smiling. "It's Ed by the way, but Painter sounds better so don't hold back." Ed quipped with his hands up.
"Trust me I wouldn't hol-"
"Wren! Down boy. I'll stop by next week for karaoke." Ed chuckled at his comment, fine with being desired by the man. You blew Wren a kiss and left the apartment with your new roommate.
