We all stood at the front of the store, I was beside Marcus, sitting on the conveyor belt. I would stand with Jonah, but he called me sexy at Cheyenne's wedding in front of Glenn.

"So we're... we're not sure if it's the same raccoon, or a cousin, or just a brand-new raccoon..." Dina rolled her eyes.

"Does anyone have any questions about the raccoon?" Glenn asked as some people put their hands up.

"Jonah."

"Yeah, I have a question about the layoffs." Jonah replied as he gave me a side glance.

"Yes!

"Whoa, wait. There's layoffs?" Marcus asked donut in my face.

"When did this happen?" He asked as I took a bite of the donut so he would take it away.

"We found out at Cheyenne's wedding."

"So when are your testicles gonna
drop so you'll tell us..." Dina was cut off by Marcus.

"Hold up! Follow up question... Why wasn't I invited to your wedding?" He asked.

"We were keeping it small."

"It was nice though." Alisha said.

"Thanks."

"Who are you?" Marcus asked.

"Alisha. I started last week."

"Glenn, why don't you just tell everybody who's getting laid off." Garrett said.

"Yeah, we want to know now." Everyone agreed.

"I don't know. But... but I have until the
end of the day to decide." Glenn said as I groaned resting my head on Marcus' shoulder.

"So in the meantime, a few words about firework safety."

"No one cares about firework safety!" Mateo said aloud.

"Glenn, it's not fair to make everyone wait until the end of the day." Amy said.

"Okay, I'll... I'll tell you as soon as I decide, but... in the meantime, let's just try and forget it, and have a nice, normal day. No, in fact, let's have the best day ever! Okay? 'Cause for six of you, it's gonna be your last."

I sighed before looking to see that Marcus wasn't finishing his dount, so I quickly took it hopping off the counter.

"Quinn!" Marcus yelled at me.

I burst out laughing running away from him.

Jonah and I were folding shirts and Garrett was with us, Jonah kept on talking.

"It's just another example of corporate greed run amok. You know? The fat cats keep filling their coffers..." Garrett yawned.

"Tired?" Jonah asked.
