"I don't even see why you still working at this place, we know Rakeem making sure you got some money in ya pockets." Tiara said she looked around the beat up fast food place.

"I like making my own money, yeah Rakeem gives me money but it's not like I need him to do it for me. He already letting me and Simone stay at his place." Malaysia said she was forever grateful for Rakeem

"Shit you right, have you talked to your momma yet? I know it's eating you up inside that y'all haven't spoke."

"Honestly at first I cared but now I don't she way to bipolar to deal with, when we come home we should come home to peace not all that toxic mess she be having all up in the air." Malaysia said

Malaysia was sick of dealing with her mother she didn't know what was the problem with her momma, ever since Deiondre got locked up for some charges Sha'Tenya wasn't herself anymore. She was upset with her baby father because she had to raise two little girls on her own.

"I do need to go back to the house and get my laptop I have work on there that's going to be due soon." Malaysia said

"We can go over there since my house that way, ya momma won't do shit if I'm there with you." Tiara said

Malaysia played with her fingers she wasn't sure if she was up for hearing her momma mouth once she got inside the apartment, she knew Sha'Tenya would just start ranting about every little thing her and Simone have done, on the other hand Malaysia needed her laptop it had important things like school work that wasn't yet finish and needed to be turned in soon.

"Okay we can go but we won't stay long." Malaysia said

Hopping off the city bus Malaysia looked around her old neighborhood she didn't miss it at all, the loud noises coming from her neighbors who would be rude to her every chance they got, from the little kids running around with no shoes on while they're parents we're doing God knows what.

Malaysia fixed herself before walking up the street to her apartment complex she buzzed in the code that open the gate to the apartment making the people who was outside look at her, she ignored the stares before walking up the dirt filled stair case.

"Wassuh Tiara and Malaysia where y'all been at?" Chad asked one of the girls classmates

Chad was 5'11 with curly hair he was half Mexican and half black he had been living in the same apartment complex around the same time Malaysia been living in them.

"Hey Chad." Malaysia said not really paying attention to his existence

"Damn so you can't even look at a nigga now? Been fucking with that Keem and all of a sudden you acting Hollywood." Chad said while sucking his teeth

"Don't do my bestie she isn't acting any type of way nigga you ain't hittin on shit that's why she won't make the time to talk to you." Tiara snapped

"It's fine Tiara don't even worry about him, who told you I was messing with Rakeem?" Malaysia asked

Chad started laughing "the whole hood know you mess with that nigga, every since that video dropped of you two people been putting the two together. You better watch ya self that nigga got so many bitches that want yo spot." Chad said with a smirk
