Chapter 7

Yuri sat down, crossed her arms, and buried her head in them.

She heard Mashiho's footsteps outside. She smiled to herself. He would never imagine her hiding here.

Suddenly she heard something, beside her. Somebody was breathing.

She reached out her hand and touched what felt like fabric on a soft and warm surface.

The thing she touched started to move, and that's when she freaked out.

"Aaah–!" A hand covered her mouth.

"Shhhh! Mashiho is just outside!" It was Yoshi's voice.

"Yoshinori?! What are you doing here?"

"Well, one, I told you to call me Yoshi. And two, I came here first, see? But I am a nice guy, so I'll let you stay here."

A sound came from outside. Somebody had opened the door.

The two inside the cupboard sat up straight, thinking that Mashiho had heard Yuri's scream.

Actually, it was Haruto who had come to find a new hiding place because his old one was really lame.

Yuri peeked through a little space between the doors of the cupboard, and saw the tall boy looking around the lab.

She thought that Haruto was already found, and now he was helping Mashiho. An idea popped into her head.

She looked at the window and stretched out her hand. Then she saw weeds appearing at the windowsill.

She immediately stopped them, then made them turn around and go to the next classroom's window.

Suddenly, a noise came of something falling down from beside the lab. Haruto instantly sat down behind one of the seats.

"Shit! I got the wrong guy!" exclaimed Yuri.

"What are you talking about?" whispered back Yoshi, puzzled.

"I might have caused that noise."

Yoshi slapped his forehead in desperation.

"Don't worry, I'll fix it," he said after thinking a little.

He closed his eyes and muttered something under his breath that Yuri didn't understand.

A little bit later, the school cat ran through the corridors meowing loudly.

Yuri smiled, "Woah, that was close."

Then she started laughing, which made Yoshi laugh too.

Eventually, Haruto heard them, then joined them.

The three then decided that it would be a better idea to change hiding places, because there already had been a lot of noise around the lab.

Meanwhile, Mashiho found the cat wondering around, and suspected that to be Yoshi's work. He kept it in his mind to remember afterwards, then continued to search for the others.

He had already found Jaehyuk, wandering in front of the Principal's office, because he didn't find any hiding place.

On the 2nd floor, Junkyu and Jihoon were hiding in the bathrooms.

That's when they heard Yuri, Haruto, and Yoshi approaching.

Junkyu's eyes widened with fear, and he glanced at Jihoon. The latter nodded at him.

Yuri was the first one to walk by in front of the bathrooms, and behind her were Haruto and Yoshi.

She suddenly slipped and fell down on her butt. The floor felt really cold. She looked at it. It was frozen. 

"Junkyu hyung was here," Haruto gasped.

"Do you think he was found?" Yuri asked.

"Of course! That's what you'd expect from him!" Yoshi laughed.

"Excuse me?" Junkyu came out from the bathroom.

And behind him was Jihoon.

Yuri raised a finger. "If you guys dare to snitch on us, I'll–"

"Calm down, Yuri-ah. We're still the good guys," Jihoon laughed.

Yuri lowered her hand, smiling. "We came here to search for a new hiding place."

"Well, Junkyu recreated the North Pole here, so we can't hide here anymore, can we?" said Yoshi, glaring playfully at Junkyu.

The latter shrugged.

Suddenly, they all heard a noise from behind.

Somebody fell down. They turned around and saw Junghwan, scratching his head.

"Woah, hyung, what's the meaning of this?" he frowned at Junkyu.

Before the latter could reply, Junghwan continued:

"Mashiho hyung found the others. He's really sly! You guys have to hide fast!"

The others were alarmed on hearing this and helped Junghwan up. They turned around to exit the corridor, but it was too late.

"Found you, ha!" They heard Mashiho's high-pitched voice behind them and sighed.

"Aww..." groaned Junghwan.

The others laughed at his cuteness.

"Well, see you guys at dinner, then," said Yuri.

"Hey, what about karaoke? We haven't got any homework for tomorrow!" exclaimed Yoshi, excited.

"Sounds cool," said Junkyu. The others nodded.

Junkyu looked at Yuri.

Yuri smiled. "I haven't got anything to do either. Would you guys mind if I join you?"

Almost at once everybody shouted:

"It would be really cool!"

"Yeah!"

"Of course! Come on!"

Yuri giggled at their enthusiasm.
