your right thumb hovered over the 'voice call' button, a hesitation to press it. slight nervousness swirled in your stomach trying to imagine an actual conversation with the boy you had been talking to for a couple of weeks. your hands got clammy at the thought and made you accidentally press the button.

the line was silent besides the calling ringtone playing. a few moments passed and the call ended, your chat with him reappearing. how fucking rude. confidence now overtook that anxious feeling since you were determined to hear his voice, you pressed the button again but the usual ringtone came to a stop. he answered. however, it was silent.

"go away you wench" the aggressive voice on the other side spat, yet behind the facade, they enjoyed saying that line.

"woah- you sound different from what i expected" you weren't overly shocked but your initial thought was completely wrong, but you were pleasantly surprised when he spoke. his voice sounding smoother than you thought.
