Morgan kept her gaze glued on her shoes as she stood on the second place podium. Beside her stood Bakugo who was tied to a large stone pillar, lashing out angrily as he squirmed against his restraints. On the other side of Bakugo, Todoroki stood quietly as he became lost in his thought.

As the podium rose into the arena, Bakugo began to lash even harder, his screams muffled. As All Might began to hand out medals, Morgan began to gently rub her bandaged arm. She could feel everyone's eyes on her and it made her feel a bit nervous. She did her best not to show it but all she wanted to do was hide in a hole, away from all the eyes on her.

A shadow loomed over her, causing her to look up to face All Might. "Young Morgan, you proved yourself to be a strong fighter! Not only did you prove yourself to be powerful, but you showed to be selfless! Risking your life and first place to save your classmate." The man said in a proud voice, patting Morgan's good shoulder. "You'll make a fine hero one day!"

If this was anyone else, they would be in tears from All Might's praise. As much as she wanted to be like 'anyone else', Morgan didn't feel any sort of pride from his words. She allowed the man to place the medal around her neck before moving on to Bakugo.

She didn't grow up praising heroes like Izuku or her siblings. But she didn't grow up hating them either. She never really found a hero she could admire and look up to.

Once everything was over, Morgan was immediately smothered by Duke and Alex. They both began to squeeze her tightly in a hug, showering the girl with praise. Morgan's cheeks flushed with embarrassment as she tried to push them off. "Shut up..." She muttered softly, not wanting people to hear how loud her siblings are.

Alex snickered then stopped when they noticed a familiar girl walking over. "Hey, Jiro is coming over."

Morgan looked at them confused before following his gaze to see Jiro. Morgan's cheeks flushed even more as their siblings gave each other a knowing look before leaving the two girls alone. "Hey," Jiro said with a soft smile before leaning in to give Morgan a soft kiss on the cheek.

The redhead quickly looked away, not used to the public affection but didn't hate it as well. After the two confessed their emotions, they talked more in the infirmary. "Let's go get some celebrational ice cream. It's not every day, you're gonna win the U.A. School Festival." The shorter girl brought up as she took the other girl's hand in hers.

The two walked hand in hand into town. It was mostly Jiro talking while Morgan responded with head motions or a smile. She didn't mind letting Jiro talk most of the time, she enjoyed listening to the girl's voice, whether it was singing or just simply speaking.

Once they got to the shop, Morgan got herself a green tea ice cream while Jiro got cookies n cream. A lot of people would come up to Morgan to praise her and ask for pictures which Morgan would nod her head shyly as a sign of thanks. Jiro couldn't help but find this side of Morgan adorable, the redhead was always quiet and cold at school so to see a different side of her, it was something she wanted to  cherish.

A day after the festival, Morgan woke up surprisingly early and dialled up Jiro.

"Wha....Morgan? What's wrong....? It's 6:45 am." Jiro answered groggily, yawning over the phone.

"I want to take you out on a date today." Morgan said bluntly, shocking Jiro and causing her to fumble the phone.

"Wa-Wait, today?" Jiro stuttered, her cheeks flushing as she twirled her earphone jacks.

"Yes, if that's okay with you. I want to take you to a water park and lunch." Morgan clarified. She's never done these sort of things before, was she being too forward?

"I-I would love to! Just give me a 10 minutes heads up before you get here okay?" Jiro said, trying to calm down.

"Of course, I'll see you then," Morgan replied. After saying her goodbyes and hanging up, Jiro buried her face into her pillow, her cheeks burning as she kicked her legs wildly in excitement. She wasn't the only one excited, Morgan could feel a huge smile appear on her lips.

-

Getting ready to head out, she wore her swimsuit underneath her clothes. Heading over to Jiro's place, she couldn't help but worry about seeing her parents. They've only been dating for a day and now she's heading over to pick her up, possibly even meeting her parents. Morgan just prayed she won't have to see them yet.

Knocking on the door, Morgan shifted nervously with the bag strap on her shoulder. Watching the door swing open, Morgan looked down to see a woman that looked similar to Jiro. The only things different were the glasses and the haircut.

"Oh! You must be Kyoka's friend! Please, do come in!" She said with a warm smile and stepped aside to allow Morgan in. Walking in, she was greeted with a homey feel and noticed the amount of instruments laying around.

"Make yourself at home. She should be down any moment." The woman said with a smile then left. Morgan sat down on the couch, putting down the bag. Glancing around, she spotted a guitar placed next her. She used to play the guitar when she was younger but gave up several years ago to focus on academics.

The redhead carefully picked up the instrument and placed it on her lap. It felt so familiar to have the guitar in her arms. She sighed softly and closed her eyes, allowing her fingers to strum along the guitar. Her body relaxed as the soft music filled the room. Leaning back against the couch, her fingers wandered along the guitar's neck, strumming whatever her fingers wanted.

"You play guitar?" Jiro's voice interrupted. Morgan snapped out of her trance, opening her eyes to see Jiro standing behind her, looking down at her. She stopped and put down the guitar.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to touch your stuff." Morgan apologised, making Jiro shake her head. "It's okay. I didn't know you could play, you're really good." The shorter girl praised.

Shaking her head in disagreement, Jiro rolled her eyes slightly before using one of her earphone jacks to poke Morgan's cheek. "Yes, you are. You shouldn't put yourself down so much." The short girl smiled softly before glancing around the room and quickly pecking her lips.

Once again, Morgan's cheeks burst with color as she looked down at her shoes embarrassed. Jiro giggled, taking Morgan's hand and led her out the door. "Bye mom!"

"Bye sweetie! Have fun with your friend!"

Closing the door behind them, Morgan couldn't help but wonder why her mother was calling her Jiro's friend.

Almost as if she read her mind, Jiro spoke up. "I had to tell my parents you were my friend and we're going to hang out. I'm not really out to them yet... I don't think I'm ready to tell them." Noticing how Jiro rubbed her arm nervously, Morgan leaned down to kiss her forehead to reassure her. Relaxing at the simple kiss, Jiro can feel all her worries rush away.

"Let's get going now! I can't wait any longer!" Jiro chuckled and took the girl's hand, letting the redhead lead them to the water park.
