"I started hearing gun shots and I immediately thought of Melanie. My Melanie. My guards won't let him get near her. I tried to get up but I couldn't. Lidia ended up tying my hands and and I was placed into a car.
Within a few minutes I ended hearing Melanie's voice.
"Please father, don't hurt me. I'll do what you say, but please don't hurt me.
"Shut the fuck up you whore." He said as I heard the door shut.
"Melanie, sweetheart is that you?"
"Adrian. Where are you."
"Listen honey, your going to be alright. I'm here don't worry."
"Adrian I'm scared."
"I know you are, but we're going to be alright."
I couldn't see her since my eyes were covered and my hands were tied. My phone kept vibrating since it was on silence. I really hoped it was Fernando and he would have reached my house.
"Adrian, my Nana was shot!" She said as she cried.
I'm going to kill Ethan! I thought. I was just hoping Nana Mary was fine and nothing happened to her.
After the vehicle stopped we were moved somewhere else.
"Babe, you need to relax. Fernando was on his way to our house. He'll probably call someone for help."
"Soto no one should come. I forgot to tell you I've killed all your guards. So no one was invited to our little party." Ethan said
"You fucking Bastard! I'm going to kill you."
"We'll see about that Soto. I really can't believe you fell for this bitch. I mean she's nothing compared to your Ex-wife. By the way, we didn't find your stupid daughter? Where is she?" He said as he laughed.
"You son of a bitch, you would have connected with Lidia to plan all this!"
"Father, please I'll sign those papers you need, but please don't hurt us. Leave us alone." Melanie said as she cried.
"Silence bitch." I heard him slap her. It made me so mad I tried to move and tried to untie myself from what I was tied. It was getting somewhat loose, but not enough.
"Leave her alone you Bastard. You fucking coward why don't you just come and fight me instead."
He came near me since I heard his foot steps getting closer.
"Are you sure about that, Soto? You know what, I'm getting hungry I'll be back."
I tried to hard and I was able to release myself from I kept still. I was waiting for him to leave the room and then I took off the bandanna from my eyes.
I immediately got my phone and sent Fernando the location. I went straight to where Melanie was and she had her clothes with blood.
I'm going to kill him.
"Melanie, baby. Listen where getting out of here."
"He's going to kill us Adrian, I'm scared." I took the bandanna off her and I looked at her eyes in tears.
"Did he hurt you anywhere else?"
"No, We're fine. She said as she had both hands on my face.
"Oh My god, Adrian your hurt you have blood in your back side."
"It's fine, I'll do it again just for you and our children." I said I I kissed her head.
She continued to cry in my arms.
Within an thirty minutes, we heard lots of shootings. We also heard Lidias voice yelling and screaming to Ethan.
I covered Melanie with my body and she was shaking in fear. My only propriety was to keep her and our children safe.
I knew Vivian was safe in school and since I've authorized the school that I or my parents would pick her up only. Lidia wouldn't be able to get near her. I had nothing to worry.

When I woke up I was in the hospital and I didn't remember what happened after the shootings.
A nurse came by along with my mother and father.
"Where's my wife."
"Son relax. Everything's okay." My mother said.
I tried getting up, I needed to know how my Melanie was.
"Sir, your wife is fine. Please stay still."
"Bring my wife into the room now!"
"Son, Melanie is in the room across we just came from her room." My father said
"Where Vivian?"
"She's with Susan don't worry, everyone is fine."
"Ma'am can you please tell me how's my wife. She's pregnant and I really need to see her."
"They're both fine, sir. I'll try to get her in this room."
"Thank you."
"What, she's pregnant Adrian" my mother said all surprised
"Yes, mother. We're having a baby and I want my wife near me."
"Why didn't you tell us?"
"We found out yesterday morning."
"What exactly happened yesterday son?" My father asked
"Father, I will let you guys know when my Melanie feels better."
"There's no rush, son. Get some sleep."
I couldn't sleep I wanted Melanie with me. I got so used to having her with me. I felt like I needed her. I knew the nurses mentioned they would bring her, but it seemed like hours.
Fernando came by and my parents left to get something to eat.
"Brother, It's great to see you alive."
"Yeah, I know. Can you take me to Melanie's room.
"You need to rest bro."
"I can't, I need to see her and know she's alright."
"Alright lets go see your wife."
Fernando helped me get in a wheelchair and took me across the room.
