Zak cleaned the little stroke with his thumb and going over her lips.

After realizing what he was doing, he didn't back off, he only looked to her lips and making that noticeable shift between that and her eyes. (Y/N) her heart was beating. Not only of guilt, but also the beating heart of excitement. This is what she always wanted in some way.

But She was loyal. She always told herself to never touch a married man and being loyal. Never the one to cheat.

So when Zak began leaning closer, to do what he wanted to do for a while now, (Y/N) snapped out of it.

"Where is the bathroom Zak?"

Zak couched and retreated, awkwardly scratching his neck and answering her question while she already stood up.

"Down the hall to the left. First door at the end."

-----

Zak awkwardly sat there. Mumbling some cussing words towards himself as he stood up and went to prepare the table. While he did that, (Y/N) looked in the mirror at herself. Thinking if she did the right thing. Because, she really wanted to kiss him right there and then. But Nick played back in her mind.

She considered her feelings as a tiny fault. Because she had a fight with nick, it were probably feelings of revenge.

But then again she didn't want to feel like the type of girl that wanted a fling because of arguments. It was all his fault in this one situation, but he was never the guy with the intention to hurt a person. And specifically you.

After all she really adored Zak and she knew right now, that he did the same. And that right there is a very dangerous thing.

She returned back to the kitchen and sat down. Looking on how Zak placed the last essentials in front of her. Neither of them were talking. And at that specific moment, (Y/N) wanted to make things right. Tell him about the argument with Nick. But first she wanted to invite him to a bigger and more... pleasant plan.

"So... How is living with Nick?" Zak asked out of the blue.

"It's good and decent. I like it honestly." But she spoke no more further. Of course! why would she tell him? It wasn't the right time anyway.

"Hey uhm Zak?"

Zak his head immediately shot up from his plate and looked at her with questionable eyes. Encouraging to continue.

"I was thinking... Do you like to go hang out with me after dinner? To a bar or something. Getting a quick drink before I head off again?"

And with that, Zak felt better again. Awkward feelings? Gone.

He smiled and replied that it was a perfect plan. He really didn't have anything else planned. And with that, they ate further and talked about some spooky locations they should go visit next.

-----

"So where we heading boss lady?" Zak smiled.

"Boss lady? Oeh I like the sound of that. But you know, better drop that. But lets go to that new one in the middle of town. I heard that it got some pretty nice reviews."

"Whatever the lady asks, she shall receive. Let's go."

"So do you like bars or anything? You seem pretty excited to go?"

"I am always excited to go somewhere with people. It doesn't mean that because I like paranormal places, that I am not fond of people you know. Well most of the time."

"So? What made you change your mind then?"

"Well, someone still owns me an explanation of why she was so upset on the phone. Maybe I get it now?"

Those words made her face drop instantly. And Zak took notice of the happy power boosted person that turned into a grumpy sad potato.

"So... Are you going to tell me or are you going to sit there like a depressed bag of potatoes?"

"I- I uhm. I got into a little argument with Nick. That's all."

"That's all? I am sorry but I don't believe you. If that would be all, you wouldn't be so sad about it and you would apologize. Or rather be furious and talk about it with him like we mostly did."

"You're right, but believe me. At this point it isn't so important. I just wanna grab a drink with a men that I appreciate. Can we please do that first and then I'll fill you in with all the details you want."

"Alright, but you pay the first round alright?" Zak smiled while driving into the parking lot.

-----

"So wait you are telling me, that you walked against a pole while you were talking with your boss?" Zak repeated laughing. (A/N: happened to me in real life. NGL; I was walking backwards while my boss and I were talking. Before I knew it, I walked against a pole and fell...)

(Y/N) didn't really tell him about the argument. They rather got caught up in drinking. And taking turns paying. They were not really drunk. At least Zak was still sober and (Y/N), well, she wasn't drunk, but she wasn't really sober either. She was just a bit less tensed. A bit more loose. But she could still think clearly.

"Hey zak I think it is time to pay and go back home. I need to talk to Nick you know."

"Alright, I'll pay for it don't you worry about it."

"But Za-"

"I said I'll pay. I'll see you at the car alright?"

While she left to go and wait by the car. He payed for everything. He thought about it for a long time, but he didn't want to think about the things that he could cause.

If it is meant to be, it is meant to be he thought. So while they met up at the car, Zak turned towards her side.

"Oh hey Zak finally, its kinda freezing, would you mind unlocking the car?"

Zak didn't reply and just pushed her against the door of the car. Locking her in with his arms. Not thinking twice anymore. He saw it in her eyes. She wanted it too, but something stopped her. Maybe he needed to make the first step so that she would loosen up.

"Zak what are you do-"

"You don't remember me at all do you?" he looked at me disappointed. "no, I'm sorry, the only things I know about you is that I used to look at the show with my grandmother when I was 16. I know that we are coworkers and have a friendly relationship"

He looked around and made sure no one was there, taking hold of my face and kissing me with heat. What have I done?
