9.) The Black Lake

Sirius's POV-

"See ya later, Sirius" Tatum said

"Bye Tay, great practice today"

"Thanks! You to!"

Watching as Tatum walks out of the changing rooms, James walks in, while I tie my shoe lace

"Soooooooo" he cooed

"So?"

"How's it going..." now he had a huge smile on his face

"Are you ok?"

"Why do you ask that?" Now said with a serious look on his face

"I don't know, you just walk in here and act.... weird"

"Are you serious"

"Last time I checked, yeah, I am"

"Ha ha, I was trying to say, but you didn't get it, how are things with Tatum"

"Exactly the same as when you asked before practice"

"Oh, sorry" he raised his hands as if to sat he surrendered "just asking"

"Ok, James" i chuckled, packing up my quidditch gear "see ya later" i patted his shoulder, and headed out of he changing rooms and headed off the pitch

Fancying a stroll, as my animagus form, I rushed up into the castle and up to the Gryffindor tower

As I rounded the corner, I saw Tatum walking my way

"Hey, were you going?" I asked, just being a little curious, as she had a towel with her

"Just out for a walk" She smiled

"I planned on doing that after practice, mind if I tag along?"

"Actually, i, um.... planned on spending some time alone, sorry"

"Oh no, that's fine" I sent a weak smile "talk to you later"

And with a sweet smile from Tatum she walked off

This is my chance! i could see if she turned into anything

Running the rest of the way to the Fat Lady portrait

"Pig snout" I saw to the Fat Lady, the portrait hole opens, and I rush up to my dorm, and drop off my things

"Hey Sirius?" Remus said, sitting at the desk, probably doing homework

"Hey"

"Why in such a rush?" He asked

"I my friend, am going to find Tatum, and see if she is a metamorphamgus"

"Good luck" Remus chuckled, shaking his head, Turing back to his work

"Bye!" I say, more shouting

I rush back down the stairs into the common room, sending Lily, Alice, and Marlene a quick smile

Running through the corridors and down to were I last saw Tatum, i found the nearest exit, this one was by the forbidden forest

Going in a little into the forest, i turn into my dog form

Now. Time to go find Tatum

Sprinting around the black lake shores, so far not seeing any sign of Tatum

laying down, on my side, I hear a noise coming from a near by bush

"Oh no, don't be scared" said, a girl.

Slowly emerging from the bush. It was Tatum.

"Hey, boy.... Girl?"

I sat up and rushed to her, kinda tackling her

"Ha- ok- hahaha- ok get off" she chuckled

"Must not get a lot of attention huh?" She asked, even though she knew I was not going to answer

"I didn't know Hogwarts had dogs, I knew they have cats, I see many roaming in the corridors at night" she said, while scratching behind my ear

"D'you know how to swim?" Tatum asked, taking off her shirt, I quickly looked away, but hearing her laugh, I slowly look back to see her in a bathing suit

Seeing as it was October, I thought the water was going to be freezing, but she just jumped in

"You going to come in?" Tatum giggled, coming back up from under water

I slowly walk over to the water, barley dipping in a paw, and backed away slowly

"Haha, ok, not a swimmer" she laughed, going back under water

I sat down a little away from the shore line, waiting to see if she turns into anything

After a while she came back up, I was quite surprised she could hold her breath that long

"Don't look so surprised" She laughed

But why? Why shouldn't I be so surprised, not like shes going to tell a dog

after a while of watching Tatum swim, she got out and dried herself with the towel I saw her carry in the corridor

"Ok, I gotta go, I might come back later if you want to come back" she smiled at me and started the walk back up to the castle

Going behind a bush, i changed back into a human and stared my own walk to the castle for dinner

"Hey! Padfoot!" Said James, from ahead fo me, once I got closer to the great hall

"Prongs"

"Where did you go, I've been looking for you"

"I went down to the lake, as a dog" I whispered the last part, as there was a couple in the corridor James and I were in "and Tatum was there, going for a swim"

"A swim? In October and in the black lake?"

"Yeah, that's what i thought, but she didn't see fazed at all from the cold"

"Huh, weird" both of us walking into the great hall, dropping the conversation

"Hey lily-pad" there went James

I noticed Tatum sitting next to Marlene, completely dry?

"Hey, Padfoot, did we have transfiguration homework?"James asked

"Yeah, we had to practice turning a quill into a bird and back, like we did in class..."

"Oh, right, Lily, want to help me after dinner on that?" James said with his stupid smirk

"James, you don't need help, well at least not with the homework"

Then they were off, Lily trying to get out of spending more time with James, and James trying to spend more time with Lily

"You should ask Tatum for help" Remus whispered from next to me

"But I don't need help"

"Not the point Sirius"

"She's in my class, she knows I can do it"

"Does that mean she watches you" Remus whispered, now with a smirk on his face

"No, she sits next to me"

"And you kinda yelled 'yes!' When you did it" Peter intervened, from across from us

I glanced over to Tatum, making sure she wasn't listing, but she was in a deep conversation with Marlene about our up coming Quidditch game against Ravenclaw
