"What on earth are you doing?!" I asked him through our video call, confused.

He just smiled innocently through the screen and shrugged. "You know just casually sneaking out of the hotel at three in the morning to go walk and see the Eiffel Tower, no biggie. At least I thought of a way to improvise so we can watch the Eiffel Tower together. It looks so much better at night."

We were now in the middle of our Christmas break. Grayson is in Paris, while I'm in Cebu. It's currently ten in the morning where I am, and my lovely boyfriend decided to call me through a video catch while walking through the streets of Paris.

We talked for a good almost an hour on the phone before I ended the call because my family and my relatives planned that we'll be going to a popular buffet for lunch, and let me tell you when I saw the pictures online, I was super excited to go there and eat a lot of food. Eating is basically the only thing that I've mostly done ever since I've landed back home, it's just that food seems to be more tastier here. I've also been buying a lot of things to bring back after my vacation like you know food and souvenirs, and I've been taking a lot of pictures and we've been traveling around the city and staying in resorts. The malls here are to die for, honestly.

Grayson has also been threatening me to buy him packs of dried mangoes or else he wouldn't talk to me anymore if we see each other again. Drama Queen. Ever since I let him taste the dried mangoes, he has been obsessing over it ever since. He literally said to me that dried fucking mangoes is what he wants to receive from me as his Christmas gift. That cut me off with some slack.

Few days after I've come back, I contacted all of my friends here back in ninth grade when I was staying here for a year and asked them to hangout, which they didn't believe at first that I was back here visiting again, but they still came to meet up and we had so much fun catching up on things that we've been missing in each others life. Even years later we still kept in contact and we would often hang out if I came back to visit.

I don't know how my introverted ass did it, but I somehow made friends with a good amount of people while I was staying here. I made at least six close friends and we're all in one group. There are four girls in the group, including me, and three boys.

Vanessa was the one that had befriended me first before introducing me to her friend group, she's like the mama bear in the group. Serena is the loudest in the group, very fun to be with and it matches my crazy energy most of the time together with Theodore. If Serena was the loudest in the group, Theodore or Theo as we like to call him, is the number one crackhead in the group and we would always gang up on him. Then the most quiet in the group is Kyra, but she's one the smartest out of all of us and her competition for the top place is Azriel. He's a very serious guy and is really focused on his studies considering he will be attending law school in the future. Not gonna lie, I did have a little crush on him before but it was nothing, I got over it quickly. Emilio will be the most caring guy you will ever meet, very sweet and kind, and because of that a lot of girls tend to fall over heels for him.

We literally spent the whole day with each other and we decided on a last minute sleepover at Azriel's house, since his parents aren't always home like before. So, after we went to the mall, we quickly went home to pack up some of our things and met up again at a fast food chain and ordered food for take out. We had a movie marathon while being sprawled across the living room floor with bowls of junk food spread around us and they opened the huge bag of chocolates I gave them. We turned off the internet connections of our phones so we wouldn't spend a lot of time on them and turned them off unless we were taking a lot of pictures. Azriel had an instant vintage film camera and we forced him to use all of his films for that night.

I missed the good old times when we used to go out after school and during the weekends.

They are very different from my other friends back in the States. I feel more comfortable and connected while I'm with them even though I've only known them in a short amount of time. They're more down to Earth and have the same awful humor as me and more relatable and I feel that I can open up more to them whenever I'm talking about something serious. Not that I'm comparing my friends here and my friends back in school. It's just they're more different, like a breath of fresh air and I would love to hang out and spend my time with them more often if I could, I wish I can though.
