"Do I look underdressed or overdressed or does my outfit look like it's not fit for the occasion?" I twirled around in front of Grayson as I showed him the outfit I was wearing. I was wearing a light brown collared cropped button up and a denim button midi skirt and paired with a pair of nude flat shoes. My hair was styled in a half-up ponytail and was slightly curled to give my hair some waves. For my make-up, I just had a light coverage of concealer, and put on mascara and eyeliner, and filled in my eyebrows a little bit, and I just put on some strawberry shine tinted lip balm.

"You look beautiful, Sunshine. Don't worry about it." He came towards me and gave me a peck on the cheek. "And you don't need to bring a basket filled with different kinds of fruits," He was referring to the basket I made this early morning. "I just need you to be with me."

What? I'm not going to his house and meet his parents empty handed.

"Just be chill," He said, while looking at our reflection together in my body mirror. I took the time to check him out on what he was wearing. He was wearing a Ralph Lauren long sleeved dark blue polo shirt and khaki pants. He paired them with a pair of white shoes to make it more of a casual look but at the same time a little bit formal looking with his outfit. And he had a silver watch on his left wrist. "Everything is going to be fine. Stop being so anxious about it."

"Hakdog! You're just lucky that my parents have finally warmed up to you and let you stay in the house a little while longer and also lets you stay for dinner.'' I grumbled.

He playfully raised his thick defined eyebrows upwards and boyishly smiled at me. "What can I say? I have the charms and everything, that's why they love me already." He flicked the quilt of his polo shirt trying to look cool.

"More like tolerates you." I rolled my eyes and scoffed at him.

"At least, I'm not panicking over whether to bring a fruit basket or not." He retorted. "Hmm, what about that, boo?"

"Shut up. I'm still bringing that fruit basket just in case. They do like different varieties of fruits, right? Oh God! I should've made a pastry basket one." I repeatedly hit my forehead with the palm of my head. "This is all your fault," I pointed at Grayson. "You could have let me know earlier than that and I would've planned earlier,"

He gave me a look. "What? Why is it my fault? I told you, you don't need to bring anything but you. Why are you so frantic about this, anyway? It's just my parents, who've you already met once and they seem to be very fond of you. And the fact that my mom can't shut up about inviting you over for brunch or dinner."

I shot him a look of disbelief. I have all the rights to be frantic and super nervous right now. For Pete's sake, I'm going to be meeting his parents. His damn parents. Sure, I've met them once when we were at the mall, but that was a different time. We weren't dating. This time, we are.

"Okay, okay. Just grab the fruit basket on the kitchen counter for me and I'll be right behind you." I let out a heavy sigh.

Grayson pulled me in for a short hug before giving my temple a kiss. "You're not gonna die from meeting my parents, Sunshine." He tried to joke.

"Shut the fuck up, Bubs." I elbowed him in the ribs.

He just let out a laugh before telling me that he'll get the basket first from downstairs and said I'll just meet him there. Not long after, we were both down stairs now and was preparing to leave.

"Dad, Mom, I'll be leaving now."I quickly kissed both of their cheeks before leaving.

My Mom was in the kitchen filling up a clear flower vase with water to put in the beautiful red roses that Grayson gave me. My Dad was in the living room and was watching a basketball game with Ethan.
