"Maureen, wait up!" I see Grayson running towards.

"Girl, slow down, I wasn't really going anywhere." I furrowed my brows, confused as to why he called me again.

"Can we buy the ingredients today because I have really no time this week other than this afternoon to go grocery shopping with you." He rambled. "The rest of the week starting tomorrow I have practices every after school so I only have this time to spend with you."

I was taken aback with the 'this time to spend with you' part.

"I mean... You know the only time that I get to go with you shopping." He cleared it up, his voice sounded frantic.

"Gray, you need to chill out for a moment. You sound like I'm going to kill you if you did something wrong. It's honestly fine. I can just do it by myself if you're busy. But I'm not using all of my money buying the things we need." I said, laughing a little. Honestly, did he think that I'm a freaking serial killer. "Well, I bought my car with me and I just need to drop off my brother and get some money first. I can meet you at the store in half an hour."

"Yeah, that sounds great. I'll text you when I get there." He affirmed. "I'll see you later. Bye." He walked past me to the front doors of the school and went out to the parking lot.

"You guys seem awfully close nowadays." My friends smiled at me like a cheshire cat.

"We have a project together." I said in a 'duh' tone. I was looking through my contacts to call my brother.

"'Saman?" He dryly asked. (What?)

"Parking lot in three. Three minutes. If not, I'm going to leave you here and let you walk and hurry up. I have to be somewhere in less than an hour." I ordered. "And I'm not joking."

"Okayyy." He replied before ending it.

I put my phone inside my pocket, before looking back at my friends. "Rosie, do you wanna come with me to the store? You did tell me you hadn't bought your ingredients for the cook." I asked her.

"Pfft. Nah." She let out a scoff. "And be the third wheel, no, thanks, I'll pass but hope you have a good time with him though." She smirked.

I groaned. "How many times do I have to tell you." Clap. "I." Clap. "Do." Clap. "Not." Clap. "Like." Clap. "Him!" And smacked her arm.

Lily and Lauren just snorted.

"Keep telling yourself that."

"Whatever floats your boat."

"I need to go." Shaking my head. "You guys are pointless."

"Enjoy your date!" They said in unison.

"It's not a date." I flipped them off before walking out.

When I got to my car, just in time Ethan showed up, all sweaty and gross. He was wiping his sweat with his face towel that I always remind him to bring and an extra pair of shirt.

"Dzaee, singot kay ka," I scrunch my face in disgust. "Kaligo niya unya." Unlocking the doors and getting inside, throwed our bags directly at the back and driving out of this hell hole we call school. (Gurl, you're so sweaty. When we get home, you go take a shower.)

"Where are you going anyway?" Ethan asked, adjusting the temperature of the aircon to make it cooler before slumping back to his seat.

"Dzaee, I have a cooking cherba on Friday and I need to buy the things I need for the dish. ''I explained to him. "Kung gi gutom gani ka, naay pag kaon sa pantry og sa ref. I'll be back before four or five." (If you're hungry, there is food in the pantry and in the fridge.)
