Leya's POV:
"No."
Chat Noir stood in front of me, holding out two earrings.
"What do you mean no?"
"I-I can't! Where's Ladybug?"
"Her kwami told me that she quit, but don't worry,"
"...Kwami?"
"Just, take the earrings. I wouldn't have come to you if i didn't think you could do it."

Hesitantly, I took the black earrings from Cat Noir's hands, and put them in. Immediately, there was a red flash, and a...thing - was floating in front of me. It looked a bit like a red, spotted mouse, but with a smaller tail, and antennae. She squeaked in a tiny voice,
"Hi, Leya!"
"...How do you know my name?"
"I'll leave you two to get acquainted with one another!" Cat Noir interrupted, hopping onto the railing of my balcony, saluting me, and promptly falling off.

"Eesh." The kwami commented, and I nodded reluctantly. "Yep."
Cat Noir's POV:
Okay, I could do this. All I gotta do is hold Cupida off until Leya gets the hang of her new powers. That shouldn't be too hard, right?

Immediately, I was hit in the side, sent flying through several brick chimneys, and slammed into the side of the Eiffel.
Right.

Leya's POV:
It was a little tight-fitting. Didn't like that much. But the colours were cute. Scratching at my mask, I found that I couldn't pull it off. Huffing, I unhooked the yo-yo from my side, and slid it open, scrolling through the options.
"Owner's manual," I mumbled, checking the contents and skimming the pages as I stood on my balcony railing.
"...Okay." I said to myself, sliding the yo-yo shut. "Let's give this a try." Taking a deep breath, I swung the yo-yo, remembering my old childhood toy, and aimed it at the nearby pole on a roof. The toy flew true, and wrapped itself around the circumference. Tentatively, I tugged on the yo-yo, and I was instantly pulled off my feet as I soared through the air
"Woah!"
Landing on the roof with a thud, I looked around in shock. This was going to take some getting used to.

Cat Noir's POV:
Dodging and diving as blasts of pink flew past me, I panted,
"What do those things do anyway?" Cupida grinned at me, her smile way too wide for her face.
"Wouldn't you like to know?"
Ceasing her fire, Cupida circled me, swinging her sticks menacingly.
"Okay, Harley Quinn is not a good look for you. And sticks? Very unoriginal."

Flipping my own stick in a fast-moving circle, Cupida's grin got unnervingly wider, and she said quietly, just loud enough to hear;
"Oh, but I'm not alone, kitty."
A rhythmic stomping started out of nowhere. Looking around me, I realised I was surrounded. Cupida cocked her head, and whispered,
"You ready?"

Leya needed to get here. Fast.
