Devil in Disguise

Yn's POV

"Yn, hey," Natalie greeted as I entered the ED. "I thought you were off today."

"I am, but I promised Will he could see June before shift," I tell her and gesture to the carrier at my side.

"You guys still haven't talked things out?" Natalie asked.

I shook my head. "We're making slow progress, but we've still got a long way to go. So, any idea where Will is?"

"Last time I saw him he was in the doctors' lounge," Natalie responded.

"Great. I will talk to you later," I say and head towards the lounge. Natalie was right, because as soon as I got to the door, I could see Will standing inside putting on his coat. As soon as I entered the room, he turned and looked my way. "Hey. Sorry I'm late. There was a bit of traffic."

"Its okay. I don't have a case yet," Will claimed as I set June's carrier down on the lounge table. As soon as Will saw June, he smiled. "And how's my little girl doing?"

"Good," I reply as he unbuckled June from the carrier and lifted her into his arms. "I finally got her to eat some of the pea flavored baby food."

"Really?" Will questioned.

I nodded. "Yep. Happened last night. It took a bit of convincing, but I got her to eat it."  I watched as June smiled up at her father and attempted to pull at his curly ginger lock, but failed to reach the hair at the back of Will's neck. That's when I took in everything that had happened the past few days along with what was happening in front of me, and I realized something. June needed Will in her life just like I did. I loved him, and that was never going to change. "Hey. I um, I've been thinking about this a lot, and uh, I would really like for you to come home."

"Yeah?" Will asked.

"Yeah. I miss my boyfriend and June misses her dad," I state. "So if you wa-" Will cut me off my leaning forward and pressing a quick kiss to my lips.

"Yn, I would love to come home," Will spoke.

I smiled. "Great. Perhaps later tonight we could have some fun once June is asleep."

"I am in. I will be home as fast as I can after shift," Will said.
