Prologue: Missed & New Chance

Author's Note

I couldn't hold back and decide to write this Prologue. Even though it is supposed to be a prologue, I kind of tossed too much into this. A lot of world and setting is being built. Also, there is a lot of new concept with this Aikatsu. So... I thought I might as well cover as many base as I can. It is probably a little boring, but chapter 1 will be better for sure. Though with that said, I have no plan on continue this until I reach near the end of Suite Dream. Unless this Prologue alone is received really well.

Early morning of a new school year and students are slowly arriving in their classroom. A girl with soft pink skin with two small horns on her forehead is standing next to a normal-looking girl who is slouching over the table.

Standing Girl "Yurina, can you just accept the fact you didn't make it? You have already tried so hard for the past year. Even if you get in now, catching up is going to be really hard. Not to mention your parents are against you becoming an idol."

Yurina "But still, I want to be an idol. Wearing a cute dress while singing and dancing on the stage."

Standing Girl sighs "Fine, but does your stats look like this time?"

Yurina "Muu, do I have to show you?"

Standing Girl "Well, I can at least help you if you plan on taking the mid-year transfer exam."

Yurina stares at the girl "Then Yumiko, show me yours! We took the exam together. You should have yours too."

Yumiko reluctantly takes out her phone and flips open a holographic screen. She looks through her files and pulls up the stats report from the exam. She then grabs the hologram and flicks it towards Yurina's phone. The screen then transfers over to Yurina.

Yurina looks at it while reading all loud "Hanazono Yumiko, 13 years old and your stats are... Grade C minus? Wait! Appearance C, Singing C, Dancing C, Appeal C, Intuition D, and Knowledge D?"

Yumiko "Shh! Don't say it so loud!"

Yurina "Ahh, sorry. But you are amazing. Why didn't you go?"

Yumiko "I'm not exactly interested in being an idol. Besides, I'm worried about leaving you alone. After all, you don't have other friends than me."

Yurina "What do you mean by that?"

Yumiko straightens up and closes her eyes "I mean what I said and you know it's true."

Yurina "Muu..."

Yumiko then looks at Yurina and smiles faintly "Now it's your turn."

Yurina complains "Ahh, I don't want to! But... a promise is a promise. Here!"

Yumiko receives Yurina's file and reads it out loud "Shizu Yurina, 13 years old. And your grade is... E+? Just how... No, let's see your stats. Appearance D, Singing C, Dance, D, Appeal E, Intuition F, and Knowledge F."

When Yumiko finishes reading, they notice a few other students are looking at Yurina.

Yumiko grabs a chair and sits close to Yurina "Sorry, maybe it wasn't a good idea to read yours out loud. But just how did you fail two? You did study and train them as I told you, right?"

Yurina looks at Yumiko confused "I did? I read up on fashion and practiced my dancing."

Yumiko's eyes twitch and she takes a deep breath before shouting out "You dimwit idiot! No wonder you failed twice so miserably! I can understand Intuition but knowledge? You want to be an idol and you don't know anything about idols? Are you serious? Yurina, you..."
