Mary

Spencer and JJ rush into the BAU. They walk towards the bullpen where the team is standing.

"Good, you two are here." Says Hotch. "Fiona is at the courthouse now, she's going to call us when she leaves. Garcia filled us in so now we need to discuss Cat."

"She's probably angry that we bested her again at her little game." Says Emily.

"She would've gotten away with it if her psychopathic personality didn't make her leave clues and taunts." Says Derek.

"She won't let us win again." Says Hotch. "She probably has a backup plan for if we were to find out it's her."

"But she can't control Mary. She may be our best bet at getting y/n out of prison." Says David.

"I want to go visit her." Says Spencer. The whole team looks at him with hesitation.

"Spence we know you want to help, but you're too emotionally involved." Says JJ.

"If anything I'm the one person who can get answers from her! I can play the desperate husband and she's bound to slip up." He says.

"What if she tries to get under your skin and you get angry? Remember what happened last time?" Says Hotch. Spencer thinks back to when he pinned Cat to the wall.

"This time is different. Please Hotch, let me do this. You can pull me out whenever you want." He says. Hotch takes a second to think.

"Okay fine. But we need to get there quick, they won't let us in pretty soon."

Spencer nods and follows Hotch out the door. They make their way to the SUV and quickly get in. On the drive there he figures out his interrogation strategy. He definitely needs to play the worried husband. That will get to her submissive side since she's most likely working with Cat. At the last minute he'll say something out of pocket and harsh to get her agitated. That will make sure she lets something slip. He and Hotch get to the prison about fifteen minutes later and rush inside.

"I'm SSA Aaron Hotchner, me and Doctor Reid need to speak with one of the inmates." Says Hotch. The lady looks down at her computer.

"Name of the inmate?" She asks.

"Diane Donovan."

She clicks a few buttons and then motions for them to go ahead. Spencer and Hotch walk to the interrogation room and Hotch stops Spencer at the door.

"Remember, I'm allowed to pull you out whenever I want. Get a hold of her submissive side and then-"

"Say something harsh to get her to slip up. I know what to do." Interrupts Spencer. Hotch nods and they wait for Mary.

He feels his fist clench when he sees her.

She has a small smile on her face. The officer uncuffs her and she sits down in the seat, looking around. Spencer just stares at her while he waits to go in. He wants to put her on edge, but she looks totally contempt. It's probably because she knows she can't be touched while she's in here.

"I'm going in." He says. Hotch nods and Spencer takes a deep breath. He slows his paces and glances down. He walks into the room and Mary looks up at him.

"Why are you nervous? I don't bite." She says. Spencer sits down and fidgets with his fingers. He keeps his head down and forces a blank expression.

"I'm here to ask you questions about my wife." He says. He keeps his eyes down, hoping his act is having the right effect on her.

"Who's your wife?" She asks.

"Y/n Reid." He says. He uses his peripheral vision to see at her, and she's smirking again. He keeps his cool and focuses on his hands.
