Lizzie was rushed to the hospital with Hank driving the car, the moment she heard Governor Ricks tell her that her mother was in the hospital she nearly fainted. Hank got her into the car and had to buckle her in because she was in such a state of shock. As they were driving, tears had left Lizzie's eyes but she hadn't made a sound. She didn't even realize that she was crying, Hank looked over at her and saw the glimmer of her tears from the light that flashed through the car.

"Hey don't look like that, everything's going to be okay."

"You don't know that." she said almost monotone.

"Well then why don't you pray, you still pray right?"

"I don't have the energy for that." Lizzie said looking down.

Hank swallowed, he hated to see her like this, he was worried about Rosa too. The Gramm and Thomas family shared so much history together, they were family. Hank pulled into the hospital parking lot and turned off the car. He turned to Lizzie, who was still looking out of the front windshield in a daze. Hank got out of the car and opened it for her, she didn't move on her own so he grabbed her by her arms and walked her into the hospital.

"Come on Lizzie you can't look so down, you don't know what's wrong yet."

"I can feel it." Lizzie said quietly.

It was the same feeling she got when her mother was first diagnosed with cancer. The one time she had called for her mother directly after six years spent in L.A she felt the need to call home. When Roy told her the news, she went into the same daze. He was talking to her the entire time but no words would slip from her mouth. He had stayed on the phone with her for about an hour and a half before she finally started to speak. Hank had found Charlie sitting outside Rosa's hospital room; he was waiting for the doctor to come out and give him an update. He saw Lizzie and stood up opening his arms to give her a hug. She had walked over to him silently, she didn't say a word and she didn't look him in the eye she just wrapped her arms around her father and hugged him. Her heart felt like it was going a mile a minute she didn't know what to feel other then pain. She was trying not to express that pain but at the same time she wanted to let it all out. It was hurting her so much, Hank had no choice but to watch the two hug in his own silent pain not just over Rosa being hospitalized but Honey's inability to express what she was actually feeling. It wasn't long before the doctor came out to talk to them,

"Are you the husband?" he asked.

Charlie nodded,

"Can you tell me what's wrong?"

"Well right now we're not sure but it seems like her condition has been aggravated. I don't think there's really anything else that we can do for her right now."

"Well her regular doctor said that she was getting better and that the chemotherapy was working." Charlie said.

"It was helping I'm sure but at this point all it's really doing is extending her time." The doctor paused seeing Lizzie's face.

She was shaking, half angry and half sad; she felt like she couldn't breathe. She faltered in her steps but Hank caught her as she fell back,

"Whoa, whoa. Okay Honey, let's go sit you down."

"Will she be alright?" The doctor asked.

Hank nodded knowing it was just her state of shock. The doctor moved further out of ear shot from her so that she didn't have to listen in on the conversation.

"She's gonna die." She said.

"Don't say that."

"No, it's true. She's sick an' she's gonna die. No amount of prayer or medicine is gonna fix that."
