(I JUST FEEL TOMMY WOULD SING THIS TO READER, DO NOT JUDGE ME!)

Plot: When back on the surface Tommy in a desperate attempt to ask Y/n out after she is done with work challenges her to a Beyblade battle. In hopes that he would get to her heart before Bubby did.

It had been awhile since the Science Team escaped Black Mesa. There was one thing that was different about them despite the already obvious reasons. That problem was expressing their emotions correctly. Bubby would insult others practically any chance he got. Coomer was similar but he wanted to fight things regardless. Tommy especially had trouble. He was an orphan and G-man wasn't the best person to try and learn emotions from. The man could barely express them himself. Gordon was literally the only half sane person Y/n knew. Tommy liked many things though, Sunkist, soda, Beyblades and you. Yet he could never find the words nor the actions to try and express his love for you. But today was different, today would be the day he told you. Today it was a rainy day, and Gordon, Bubby and Coomer were sitting down on the couch and playing a video game. Well Gordon was, Coomer and Bubby were just watching. Tommy was on the floor working on two Beyblades. One was a Pegasus, the other was a Rock Leon. Tommy was startled when he heard the door opening. Sunkist ran to greet the woman coming in from the harsh rain outside. Y/n unlike the others had work on the surface. "Hey Sunny D" Y/n joked as she rubbed the fur of the golden retriever dog. Tommy quickly got the Beyblades ready. Bubby smirked as he looked back at Y/n. Bubby also had a certain liking to Y/n as you could say. "Hey Y/n, how are you?" The tall older male said walking up and even offering the woman a hug. Y/n finally happy thst he had learned some natural form of intimacy, gladly accepted.

Tommy's anger flared a bit as he saw the contact. His jealousy grew like that of a child's when their friend finds someone new for them to BOTH play with. It was stupid in his eyes but he did not wish for someone like Bubby to put his grimey hands on Y/n. She was far to perfect for that. Tommy became a flustered mess when he would try to speak to her though. Bubby had at least some confidence she would like him. Tommy shook his head as he had to at least know! "H-He-hey Y-Y/n!" Tommy stuttered from the living room of the shared house. Tommy's face was flushed red as Y/n entered with wide doe like eyes. Full of life and curiosity and a glimmer of something else. A smile plastered on her face as she saw the man of her dreams. Tommy was far to oblivious of Y/n's feelings of him. The Y/h female looked at Tommy and blushed. "Hey Tom-Tom, how are ya?" The woman asked as she walked in and gave Tommy a hug. Bubby growled at this and sat down with his arms crossed. Grumbling to himself. "I don't understand how the child gets her!" Bubby muttered in anger, glaring daggers at Tommy. Tommy was blushing furiously as he pulled away from the woman. He handed her the customized Rock Leon and he grabbed the customized Pegasus. "I challenge you to a beyblade battle!" He yelled as he got read to fight in thr center of the living room. A hearty laugh escaped the woman before she got ready to battle him. "Let it rip!" They yelled at the same time as they both ripped it together causing the Beyblades to battle it out in thr center of the living room floor.

"I'm gonna win" Y/n said happily. Tommy looked at the short/average/tall woman and swooned. Her H/l H/c hair sawing and moving as she watched the battle. Quietly cheering every now and then for her blade to win. Her skin sparkled a bit as it was damp from the rain. Her hair soaked and her clothes weren't any better. Secretly Tommy hopped she'd win. He smiled as his silent prayer was answered. "I win" Y/n said as she stuck her tongue out. She then got up adjusted her hair and began walking to the kitchen. Bubby was drinking what appeared to be coffee. "If you don't ask her out. I will" Bubby growled from his coffee cup. "SHUT UP!" Tommy yelled to Bubby as he took off his hat and slammed in Bubby's face. Bubby spit out his coffee and spilled the rest all over him. "GOD DAMMIT CHILD!" Bubby said as he stormed off. Tommy ran into the kitchen to be met with laughter from the others in the living room and a confused Y/n. "What the hell was that about?" She asked as Tommy shook his head as he grabbed her tightly before looking her in the eyes. "Will you be my girlfriend!?" Tommy asked with a small smile. "Of course Tom-Tom!" The E/c eyed woman said excitedly as she kissed Tommy's nose and pulling away with a laugh. Tommy smiled widely as he began practically prancing into the living room to brag about how awesome his new girlfriend is.
