Plot:
The reader listened to all of Coomer's thoughts and theories on how this isn't real. Reader then confides in Gordon asking if it's true

Y/n was a young and impressionable woman. That was her weakness. When Dr. Coomer jumped over the hilltops with a report that nothing was there. This broke her. She didn't know if it was real or fake. Dr. Coomer had openly discussed his thoughts and theories about it. Y/n made the mistake of listening to every. single. one. of those ideas. She became numb sort of. And this became a major concern to no one other than Gordon Freeman. He had always liked the woman. Even if he never fully expressed it. But he loved the woman more than she or the others realized.

ordon had been noticing how Y/n was acting and decided to ask what was up. "Hey Y/n, what's up? You seem not all there these past few days" Gordon said as he gave an awkward laugh and a slight smile as he faced her. "Is this real? Coomer says this is all fake and there is nothing beyond Black Mesa. What do you think? Is that true?" Y/n asked with a far away look. Not knowing what to make of all of it. Gordon was taken aback. He didn't fully know the answer to it. All Gordon did was hug her. The woman caught off guard by the sudden action stayed there for a second before breaking down. Tears ran down the confused woman's face. Some of her H/c hair became damp with her tears. (If you have short hair ignore this) her E/c eyes were reddening from the crying she was doing. Gordon comforted her until her cries died down. "I don't know Y/n. But i'd like to believe it is real. Because if it isn't then i wouldn't be able to live with the fact that I wouldn't see you again" Gordon stated as he put his finger under her chin. "I love you Y/n more than you or any of the others could realize" Gordon gave a soft smile as he kissed the woman. Her E/c optics widened and her face became even redder than what it was. It took her a second before she kissed back, putting her hands on Gordon's cheeks. Not wanted to let him or the feeling he gave her go. "I believe this is real" Y/n said happily as they pulled away from each other. Gordon chuckled a bit and smiled at her. "Me too. Come on let's go back to the others. And remind me to kick Coomer's ass for saying s**t like that" Y/n laughed as she got up, holding Gordon's hand and walking off with him to the rest of the group.
