As it turns out, Emma is a somewhat decent driver. At that moment, Lou was grateful that (y/n) was a genius, or they would never have been able to track them to the nearby town of Moose River. Ravi's tracker lead them to a warehouse in an abandoned neighbourhood of seemingly identical brick buildings. They dumped the car on the side of the road and crept in through the side door.

Meanwhile, (y/n) was in the middle of another fitful sleep, her dream bringing memories she tried to bury over the years to the surface. Luke watched, feeling helpless as she battled the demons of her nightmares, his heart breaking just that little bit more with every frown and every whimper of fear as she tossed and turned. He hated the fact that he couldn't do anything more than hold her close, stroke her hair, and reassure her even though she couldn't hear him through the haze of her sleep. Footsteps echoed on the other side of the steel door, and he lightly shook her awake.

"(y/n). (y/n)!" She bolted up and whipped her head around, searching for Xander like every other time she had woken up. After making sure he was alright, she almost fell back to sleep, but Luke held her up.

"(y/n), someone's here," he whispered, and immediately she was alert, nudging Xander awake too. The rusted door creaked as it swung open, and the familiar figure of the devil with blonde hair stood in the doorway.

"Come on, Lukie Pookie, time to get you into your tux!" Connie's voice pierced through the silence of the room. (y/n) felt Luke recoil slightly, and she squeezed his hand.

"I'll put the tux on if you let these two go," Luke argued. He wasn't about to let her use them against him.

"Hmm, that's cute," Connie replied. "You think you're in any position to bargain, Lukie Pookie? Especially with your... friends in no fit state to go anywhere? I don't think he'll be able to even move for at least a week with those broken ribs." She cackled evilly at Xander, who growled frustratedly, not liking that he couldn't jump up and protect his friends. Especially (y/n), his sister in all but blood.

"So, either you come with me now, or it will be worse for them," she threatened, pointing a knife in (y/n)'s general direction. Luke didn't hesitate. He shot up and followed Connie, casting a last, sad smile in his girlfriend's direction. As soon as Connie left, both (y/n) and Xander knew they didn't have much time to think of a plan. The tracker from Luke's pocket was now in (y/n)'s, as they knew she would be more careful with it than he would be. She pulled it out and sent another Morse Code message to Ravi, praying that he was receiving them:

... .... . .----. .../--. --- -/.-.. ..- -.- ./.-.-.-/.... ..- .-. .-. -.--

SHE'S GOT LUKE. HURRY

A.N: Hiya! Yeah, sorry I haven't posted in ages. I had writer's block, we just went back to school, and I generally haven't been in the best place recently, thanks to some of my "friends". But no matter what they say, I'm gonna keep writing because that makes me happy and reading your comments and all the love you're giving this book makes my day. So thank you all for helping me through this. Even if you didn't realise it, you picked me up when I was knocked down and just about ready to give up. I love you all so much, and I can't believe how far this book has come. I promise I'll try and get another chapter up before the weekend, 'cause you all deserve it. Leave a comment with any suggestions/ideas/requests/random observations, and I'll see you in the next chapter! ♡
