Isang malalim na buntong hininga ang pinawalan habang papalapit ng papalapit sa isla ang yateng sinasakyan namin. Astrea decided to hold the get together in one of the island that was privately owned by her family. It's just a one day and one night party and we are set to leave tomorrow morning. Nakakaramdam ako ng kaba kapag iniisip ko na makikita ko na namang muli ang ilan sa mga taong dahilan kung bakit ako lumipat sa Solstice. On the other hand, I am excited to meet some old friends as well. My three years in MCYT ain't really that bad. Well, it wasn't until Dream decided to barge unto my life and all the shit started.
"A penny for your thoughts."
Napalingon ako sa nagsalita. Napangiti ako ng makita si Nick na may hawak na dalawang baso ng wine. Iniabot nito ang baso sa akin at saka sumandal sa barandilya ng yate.
"I heard from Clay that you are the owner of Snowmoon." Nakangiting wika nito saka sumimsim sa basong hawak niya.
So they know about Snowmoon already? Napakibit-balikat na lang ako. Nick is one of Dream's closest friend. I shouldn't be really surprise about that Dream informed him about my ownership of Snowmoon.
"I'm actually one of your loyal fan. I played the first map you released and all I can say is that the storyline and the adventure of it caught me by surprise. I didn't know that you are the mind behind it. It's just- wow." He said with genuine smile and admiration on his face.
"Thanks." Wika ko sa kawalan ng masabi. It warms my heart to feel that there are actually people who appreciates my creation.
"I actually told Clay before that if ever I met the owner of Snowmoon, I will ask for his or her autograph. So every year end party of Valkyria, I am forcing him to send you an invite." Pagpapatuloy nito saka saglit na sumimangot. "But you didn't accept any of the invitation. I didn't know it was you. But now I finally understand why you keep on refusing to attend the party."
"It's because I want to keep my identity private." Paliwanag ko rito. "I'm proud of being the owner of Snowmoon, but I honestly enjoy working on my own without the fame associated on my name. Aside from that, I have my team behind me. I didn't do it alone. It's not right for me to grab the limelight when the truth I have few other people working so hard for those maps to come to life."
"You have a great team then. Can I meet them?" Nagningning ang mata nito.
Hindi ko maiwasan ang matawa rito. Nick actually an avid gamer as well like me and Clay, but his family business is in the food department so he is a chef.
"Sure, I might actually invite all of them in my wedding." Pag-sangayon ko rito.
Sa aking pagtataka ay ngumiwi ito ng pagkasabi ko ng salitang 'wedding'. Seryoso itong humarap sa akin.
"Look, I like you." He said making me frown.
Tinaasan ko ito ng kilay.
"No. I mean not in a romantic way." Agad nitong paglilinaw dahilan upang mapangiti ako.
"Okay, I'm glad to know that because I like you as well. Just not in a romantic way." Sagot ko rito saka uminom ng wine mula sa basong hawak ko na ibinigay nito kanina.
He rolls his eyes on me.
"Yeah, whatever. Back to the wedding topic." Wika nito saka ngumisi sa akin. "If in case that you ends up changing your heart. If you decided not to marry Clay and you have no one to call for help, dial my number. I'll help you escape."
Bahagya akong natawa sa sinabi nito.
"Clay is your friend." I stated the obvious. Is he seriously offering me that?
