Sorry these past couple of chapters have been more "filler chapters," but I promise it's gonna get more exciting in the next few! Stick around for some surprises at the end of the next few chapters as well!

"Ok, so the key to sparring is to fight with your opponent, but to be gentle with your follow-throughs. You don't want to hurt them; it's just practice," Clint explained to me as he stood on one end of the training mat with his own set of katanas, and I stood on the other end, facing him.

"Got it."

Our katanas had small paddings along the blades, so if we accidentally followed through with one of our blade attacks, we wouldn't hurt each other. I highly doubt that Clint needs the padding on the blades since he has sparred countless times before I'm sure, but he said he would rather be safe than sorry.

"Oh, and by the way, I thought your thing was bow and arrows," I asked him as I got into a defensive position.

"Yeah, well, when you're a trained assassin, you gotta know how to fight with everything," he replied before starting the duel.

He lunged towards me with his blades up. He brought them down, but I easily blocked them with one of my katanas so they were perpendicular while I swiped the other at his arms.

He blocked with one blade and swung the other one at my legs. I front flipped over his head and landed behind him, instantly turning around and bringing the blades down towards his back.

At the last second, he brought both of his katanas over his head and crossed them over his back, making the blades clash.

In my millisecond moment of surprise, he grabbed my wrists while he still had the katanas in his hands and flipped me over top of him and onto the ground in front of him.

I summer-salted as I landed and stood, blocking Clint's incoming attacks aimed at my waist and head.

As I blocked all his strikes with ease, I kicked him in the stomach, but not too hard, sending him stumbling back a few steps. I guess it was harder than I thought, though, because he held up his hand in a pausing motion, taking in a few deep breaths.

"Sorry," I grimaced as I let him regain his breath.

He waved my apology off, and we continued the spar.

He managed to sweep my legs out from underneath me after a solid 5 minutes of back and forth strikes, and I was sent falling down to the mat and lost my grip on one of my katanas.

He walked over to me and pointed the edge of one of the blades at my throat.

"Guess I win,"  he smirked in victory.

"That's what you think," I said as I kicked his hand holding the blade in front of me, sending the katana flying.

I did a kick up with one of my katanas in hand, and in a blink of an eye, I grabbed his arm and flipped him over onto his back.

As I flipped him over, I took his katana, so I had one in each hand and crossed them over his neck.

"Guess I win," I smiled before putting the blades into my back holster and offering him a hand up as he still laid on the ground.
