Light filtered through the curtains and made its way towards my eyes, my eyelids open and let the light in. I look around my room then towards my bedside table. My phone is illuminated to show notifications coming through, it's always on silent at night so I can sleep in peace. I grab my phone and check who's messaging me, it's Chelsea.
Chelsea is my best friend and always will be, she's a transgender girl and I was the first person she came out to, probably because she knew I was gay and my brothers were all bi and gay as well. My family are very accepting which I'm very thankful for, it saddens me to think others don't have accepting family's it's one of the reasons I want to adopt a child someday or even Foster one, but right here right now I have a competition to enter.
