The Adventure Begins

Varian's POV:

I was getting concerned.

Ellie barely slept last night and when i woke up this morning she was in the bathroom throwing up.

I hope she isn't getting sick.

"Morning, guys" Rapunzel said.

"Good morning" Ellie yawned.

"Hey, you ok Ellie? You seem tired" Eugene asked.

"I'm fine" she said, clearly annoyed.

Then she left and went to our work room, where we spend most of the day.

"Goggles, is she ok?" Eugene asked me.

"She didn't get any sleep last night and i woke up to her throwing up this morning" i explained "i'm worried about her, i hope she isn't getting sick"

Eugene laughed a little.

"It's really not funny" i said.

"Barely any sleep, throwing up, she seems really moody, maybe you should have her talk to the royal medic" Rapunzel suggested.

"Rapunzel, what are you saying?" I asked.

"I'm just saying you should ask a professional what's wrong."

Later

"Var, i'm fine" Ellie said "i don't need to see a doctor"

"Honey, you've been saying that for the past half hour, and four times during this conversation alone, have you almost thrown up, you need to see a doctor" i told her.

She glared at me.

"I just want to be sure you're okay, i'm really worried"

Her death glare turned into a sad smile.

"Var, i know your worried, but i'm fine"

I raised an eyebrow at her.

"But..." she sighed "i guess it wouldn't hurt to figure out what's going on"

"You'll have to let me know how it goes, i would come with you but i've got a busy schedule today" i said sadly.

She nodded and walked down the hall to the castle infermary.

An hour later

I was repairing the hot water tank i had built in the basement of the castle.

I was laying under a part of it and couldn't see anything.

I held my hand out from under it.

"Hey Ruddiger, can you hand me the wrench?" I asked.

I felt the wrench in my hand.

"Thanks" i said.

"Your welcome" a voice laughed.

I poked my head out from under the tank to see Ellie sitting there.

"Oh, hey Honey, how did it go?" I asked.

She laughed nervously.

"About that" she said.

"Is something wrong!?" I asked nervously "are you sick!?"

She laughed a little

"No, no, i'm not sick, i'm fine"

"Then why were you throwing up and everything?" I asked.

"So...turns out" she laughed awkwardly.

She paused for a minute.

"I'm uh..."

She sighed

"I'm pregnant" she said.

I was speechless.

"You're serious?" I asked.

"Yeah" she said.

"This is amazing!" I said, pulling her into a hug "i'm gonna be a dad!"

"So how are we gonna tell our parents?" She asked.

Then i realized.

"Sweet mother of Demanitus, your mom is gonna kill me" i said "oh, what if something bad happens!?"

"Var, Sweetie, calm down, think about it, it might get a little crazy but we also faced an evil demon creature who destroyed the kingdom and a ghost that possessed your body, i think we can handle raising a kid, it'll be like an adventure!"

(It's official everyone! The first of the baby alchemists are on their way! I won't say their gender because their's gonna be a whole chapter of a gender reveal but i hope everyone is excited as i am)
