About the imagine: (requested) - Reader is often seen as nerdy, spending most of their time playing D&D or keeping to their introvert self. They come across a website they shouldn't have found, what will happen when Reader digs too far into this website?

-----

(Y/N) let out a sigh of relief when they finally let their bag drop to their apartment floor. They turning to their left to gaze upon the clock on the wall, 11:15pm it read. It had been a long night.

After leaving their part time job for the day, (Y/N) received a text from a close friend. 'D&D tonight. 6:00pm. Bring snacks :)' Even after a busy day they couldn't pass up the opportunity of attending another campaign of the favourite game. It had been at least a week since the last time they had all gathered to play.

Once again (Y/N) took the lead of guiding their friends through their fantasy world, after their many campaigns they were coming close to reaching their goal of discovering the secret treasure (Y/N) had been hyping them up for for so long. After twists and turns of fighting dragons, giants, demons that stood in their path their hope of finally succeeding their adventure faded as (Y/N) had put their friends to the test of surviving an attack by The Tarrasque. This wasn't the first time that the creature had appeared in one of their campaigns, there were multiple occasions where (Y/N)'s friends came close to defeating their unstoppable monster but (Y/N) had somehow managed to keep it that way. Unfortunately, tonight's campaign was cut short as their Bard had an emergency back at home so the game was wrapped up and was promised to be continued tomorrow night.

It was now 12:30am, after a quick snack and shower (Y/N) typed away at their computer the words written on the screen depicted new ideas for their campaign. 'What else could I do?' (Y/N) would think to themself as they thought about their current campaign and future ones. A couple of clicks and websites later, (Y/N) stretched as they yawned. If they had planned on arriving at work tomorrow on time they had better head off to bed. Just as they were closing the opened taps that were filled with forums of other D&D players, something on the screen was begging for their attention. (Y/N) moved forward to look at the website that had popped up. They couldn't even remember clicking on the link for this. 'Abstergo Industries'.

"What the..."

And from their curiosity, (Y/N) decided to dig into the site. (Y/N)'s discovery presented to them that this multinational company had been responsible for major technological development. Through this website, (Y/N) discovered that the company was creating these machines that dug into people's ancestry DNA. It amazed (Y/N). Surely this couldn't be true. Opening up a separate window on their computer, they searched 'Abstergo Industries' into the search bar. As the screen loaded confusion wiped over (Y/N)'s face.

'Zero search results found.'

The company doesn't exist? Upon finding this out, the first widow that showed the ghost website started to glitch out, then the sound of static and the only thing that appeared on the screen was a glitched out logo with the words written over it 'May the Father of Understanding Guide Us.' (Y/N), too freaked out by what was happening, quickly shut down their computer. Once the static noise had disappeared, (Y/N) stared at the black screen in front of them.

"I better not get a virus from this."

The room was pitch black. After an hour (Y/N) had stopped worrying about the incident and finally fell asleep on hopes to at least get some rest before work tomorrow. It was at least 2:00am when the silence and darkness that had filled the room had dispersed and was replaced with a blinding blue light. The computer sitting across the room lit up the room with the same logo again. A new feature came with this, through the light the glitches that were on the screen now appeared in (Y/N)'s room. They stayed for a couple of seconds and the room returned to being silent.
