Imagine: You are saved one day by Altair, after he takes a liking to you which catches unwanted attention. You get kidnapped and are left to sit and wait for your fate, but why?
(Y/N)'s pov
My fingers were numb and I couldn't feel my feet either as I sat in the freezing damp room. Bound to a chair with a cloth round my mouth, I tried not to freak out about what I was going through right now. No matter how hard I tried to get myself free I always failed against the bounds that held me down to the chair, I was forced to just sit quietly think happy thoughts to keep me from having a breakdown. I decided to think back to when that guard tried to attack me because they accused me of theft and the moment when I met Altair.
The streets of Jerusalem were as busy as ever, people walked up and down the streets carrying pots on their heads or standing at the markets. I walked down the street with the crowd currently on the way to buy food from the markets, I haven't eaten in a few days after giving up my food for homeless children that I have seen on the street. I couldn't let them starve so I gave my loafs of bread to them, but now I had double the money before so I could buy two loafs, one for me and one for the children so we don't die of starvation.
As I walked along with the crowd many of the people pushed passed me and gave me glares as if it was my fault that they had pushed me out of the way. I ignored them and carried on down the street until I was harshly pushed and went into a guard then fell to the floor. He glared at me like the other people did.
"Watch where you're going peasant." He spat at me then walked away.
I sighed and lifted myself off my feet and continued my way to the market. I decided to take a bit of a shortcut to the market through the alleyways so there wouldn't be such a crowd. I would have to walk past all the homeless people who were dying of sickness though. When I walked through the alleyway I wasn't worried and I calmly continued to the market place however when I was about to turn back into the middle of the street I was harshly slammed into a wall. The guard that I had bumped into earlier pinned me to the wall and was staring daggers into my eyes.
"Where is you thief?" He shouted at me.
"I have no idea what you are talking about." I told him, I started to panic a bit now.
"You think I'm stupid? I know the trick you thieves use where you bump into people, now give me back what's mine or I'll kill you!"
He pulled out a knife and held it to my throat, I was lost for words and I was completely paralysed. I didn't know what to do, I didn't know what the guard was talking about. I didn't steal anything.
I pleaded for the guard to let me go and closed my eyes as he started to dig the knife ever so slightly into my throat, I waited for him to slice the knife across me but suddenly the weight was pulled off me. I opened my eyes to see the guard getting beat up by someone in a white robe, a hood covered their face and they had many weapons holstered to them. In one quick swift move the guard was knocked out cold.
"Are you alright?" My mysterious saviour asked, by the way their voice sounded I assumed that my saviour was a man.
"Yes, I am. Thank you for saving me." I thanked him.
"Here." He offered me a white rag."For your neck."
I was confused at first but after I realised that my neck was bleeding I thanked him again.
"Why did you save me?" I asked.
"I couldn't let an innocent person die for something that I had done." He explained.
"You mean...you stole whatever he was accusing me of stealing?"
The hooded man just nodded in response, he was about to walk off until I stopped him.
"Wait. Am I aloud to know who my knight in the white robe is?" I gave him a small smile.
He turned round and stared back at me, he was silent at first and I thought he wouldn't answer my question but he finally spoke.
"My name's Altair."
My thoughts were interrupted when a door was swung to reveal two guards, they both wore red crosses across their torsos which made me curious as to why they wore it. I saw other guards wearing the same guards too. One of them stood by the door and kept it shut, the other walked up to me and removed the cloth that covered my mouth.
"We know you're tied with the assassins, so tell us all the information you know and no harm will come to you." He said to me.
"Assassins? What are you talking about?"
Before I could say anything else he strikes me across the face. I was shocked by the sudden impact, I had never been slapped before the only thing that had happened was when that guard who accused me of theft and put his knife to my throat.
"Don't play dumb, unless you want to get tortured." He said sternly.
My anxiety picked up again and I tried to pull against the bounds again.
"Please, I'm telling the truth I have no idea who the assassins are, OK?"
The guard just glared back at me then turned to the other guard who was stood by the door, he gave him a small nod and he walked out of the room. I didn't know what to expect next but I know that it wasn't going to be good for me. I thought this was going to be the end of me until I saw a mysterious figure behind the guard, before I could say anything the guard in front of me was quickly grabbed from behind and a blade was struck into his neck. I was about to let out a scream until I realised who it was that had come to my rescue once again.
"Altair? Is that you?" I asked the familiar white hooded man.
"Yes it's me, I'm getting you out of here." He told me then sliced the bounds so I was free, we both walked to the door and Altair opened it and looked out to see if any of the guards were about.
"Ok lets go." Altair said and walked out with me behind him."Stay close and keep quiet."
"Altair, how did you know I was here?" I asked him.
"It's all my fault, the Templars have noticed that I've been keeping an eye on you so you don't get attacked again and they think you're with is, so they kidnapped you to get information."
"Wait. So the whole assassin thing, you're one of them?"
Altair is just nodded and he stopped us and looked round a corner to see to guards patrolling he quickly ran out and stealthy killed them both as I stood and kept an eye out for any of them.
"Yes, I am. I'll explain more to you when we finally get you out of here."
We successfully escaped the place that the 'Tempalrs' were holding me, Altair and I rode back to an assassin bureau that he told me about. He said I could rest for the night with one of his assassin friends, Malik. I was pretty shook up after what I had just been through but Altair reassured me that I would be safe here.
"(Y/N) I'm sorry about getting you kidnapped."
"Altair it's alright, I mean it's not like you intentionally wanted me to get kidnapped."
Underneath his hood I could see a small smile for, on Altair's face, he said that he had to go for a mission and I watched him climb up the walls of the bureau. He really is my knight in the white robe.
