A Mermaid?

After leaving Spa Island and defeating the foxy pirates once again,  you all headed off to the  next Island on your horizons, Fishman Island. "An island underwater huh?..." You mumbled out surprised after reading the book you found on it. "Funny...I lived in an underwater place too.." Zoro hummed taking a seat next to you, "Man I know we went to a Spa, but I feel more tired than before," You smiled feeling him slump on your shoulder, "No training? You've only spent the past 3 weeks in the crow nest." He grunted at you before sighing in content as you moved him on your lap. "Thank you.." You laughed running your hand through his hair, "It's been a while since we've did this..make sure we never go this long without doing this again woman.." Zoro grunted out holding your other hand. You nodded closing your eyes in content. A nap didn't sound so bad.

You gasped awake seeing yourself under water. Not Fishman Island, you were home..."No I can't be here..I was on the ship with Zoro and everyone else." "You are here though..and you know exactly why." You looked up seeing a man in a big black coat smoking a cigarette. "Who are you-" "Don't worry about that..My name is Rosinante, I'm not a sea witch nor am I related to one. I was well..I was bonded to one. And originally someone else was gonna speak to you, but I wanted too see you." You nodded confused as he patted the seat across from him. "C'mere kid." You sat across from him as he smiled, "Don't be nervous Y/N, I'm a friend..how old are you now?" "I'm 17 and if I'm here and your speaking to me it must be because well four more months and I'm gone..maybe wherever your at.." He sighed nodding. This was harder for him that he thought it would be. He wanted nothing more than to hug you and apologize for how your life turned out. He was supposed to raise you with Lena on their cottage and with Law. Rosinante had left two of his kids behind. He clenched his fist seeing the scar on your stomach when you stretched. "Y/N the time has come for Malice to come and it seems your alone in this fight, and dammit! This is hard to say!" You jumped at his outburst. "Sorry kid..I didn't mean to burst-" "Oh my god your on fire! How is this possible?!" You began patting him to put it out, "There we go..look I know what you wanna say and you don't gotta tell me about it. I already know I should ask my friends for help, but my whole life I kinda have always been alone..Malice took everything from me. I don't want him to take them away, I've lost too much already. I don't need to lose anymore. Most people in my situation would be scared..but believe it or not I'm not scared. I don't fear death..The only thing I fear is losing what took me so long to gain..I've been beaten again and again. I was trained from a young age that all I would ever be good for is to be his weapon, I witnessed my mother get torn apart piece by piece trying to protect me..I don't want that fate upon my friends. I have so much to be grateful for, but now I have too much to lose so this battle is something I have to do alone. I had so much in my life. I had a wonderful mother who protected me as best as she could, I made friends, I never met him, but my mother always told me I had a wonderful father! I even fell in love with someone! And-" You stopped hearing him begin to cry. "Oh please don't cry for me..You don't even know me and I'm not someone worth crying for-" He pulled you into a tight hug sobbing, "Someone needs to cry for you since you won't. Y/N I can promise you, your father loved you so much more than you know and it kills him to see you so scared! You can't fool me I know your scared..you were shaking as you were rambling, your mother would do that..." Your eyes widened as you shook in his hold hugging him back. "So that's why your here...I was confused why you were talking to me. You knew my mom.." He nodded crying. "..I'm so sorry that I passed away on you and your mom. I wanted to go get you guys. If I did, you wouldn't have had to be so strong, your mom wouldn't have died.." You cried holding him before shaking your head, "No trust me Malice promised me no matter what he would've gotten his hold on me. It would've hurt me more to see both you and her die..I don't know you much but I just know you would've been a great person to know. And I wouldn't have ever met Zoro..." Rosinante cried nodding, "You have wonderful friends..but if that green haired one hurts you, I'll come back from the dead and haunt him.." You laughed before beginning to sob, "I really would've loved to have you with me and my mom and I know it hurts you that you can't be there for me and you can't protect me, but don't feel bad for me..because if I'm gonna be honest I am scared..I don't wanna die but you know as much as I do sacrifices have to be made for the people you care for!" Rosinante's heart broke at your outburst, " I  don't wanna lose anyone else." He nodded, "I don't want you to die Y/N..so please fight as hard as you can." You nodded feeling droopy. Rosinante sighed adjusting you to fit comfortably in his lap. "Sleep..Your safe with me." You didn't know the man holding you had been your father and he was weeping silently for you.

Zoro was currently trying to wake you, you had started shaking and crying in your sleep. "Wake up Y/N!" You gasped opening your eyes sitting up. "Sorry.." You began wiping your face harshly. He shook his head pulling you into a tight hug. "What happened?" You shook your head before seeing Nami look at Luffy as he told her no turning away. Nami had talked to Luffy about you a while after saving Robin. He wanted to help you, but he wanted you to ask for help not hear about it from Nami. That's the type of person he is. He wanted you to talk to him. Zoro felt the same way and agreed with Luffy when Nami told him. This was really starting to get to Luffy though. Why won't you ask him? Aren't you guys friends? Luffy knew this was hard for you, but it would be more simple if you just told him who he had to beat up? Who was stopping you from being happy? "Again sorry wasn't meaning too cry I just had a really sad dream.." That man in the dream was bothering you. Just who exactly was he? Later on after shaking it off, Nami had called  out you all had made it to the red line. "Wow we're here!!" You yelled out excitedly with Luffy. Usopp screams cut off your's and Luffy's excitement. "It's a sea bunny!!" You gasped seeing a giant sea bunny monster. "I'll handle it!!" Luffy punched it hard sending it flying. "IT SPIT SOMETHING OUT!!" Sanji caught it quickly. "ITS A GIRL!!!" Chopper yelled out as Sanji gently put her down, "Not just any girl a mermaid?!" You yelled out excitedly. Back in your home mermaids were treasured and held highly for their beauty. They were beyond gorgeous. Most sea witches, when they were alive, hated mermaids because of their beauty. Not you though, you found them beautiful and wanted to be one, ever since you were a little girl. "Excuse me miss?" The mermaid looked up confused seeing Brook approach her, "May I see your panties?" You hit Brook sending him flying and sat in front of her stars in your eyes, "I'm sorry about him are you okay?" She laughed seeing Sanji behind you with heart eyes. Nami sweat dropped as you sent a water ball at Sanji for hitting on her. Luffy moved next to you stars were also in his eyes. Zoro sighed with Franky as you and Luffy began to bombard her with questions. "Your a fish?" "Your so pretty how rough are your scales?" Robin smiled approaching Zoro and Franky, "I mean you can't tell me it isn't cute seeing her this excited.." Zoro nodded smiling seeing you show her your bracelet as Chopper looked her over. "Yea I guess.." He looked away seeing Robin smirk. "So you guys aren't a couple?" He looked at her confused, "I just kinda assumed we were? I have to ask?" Franky overheard and sweat dropped with Robin as he scratched his head confused. You jumped seeing a starfish come out from behind the mermaid, who had revealed her name was Camie. "Hi who is this?.." You asked nervously, "Oh this is Pappag." You laughed as she explained to all of you that she works for her friend named Hatchan. "That sounds familiar?" Nami nodded before her eyes widened in realization. He was one of the fish men who took Nami's village hostage with Arlong.. Camie had discovered that he had been kidnapped by some pirates and wanted all of your help to save him. Luffy had agreed but wanted Nami's approval first. She agreed for Camie, she wasn't forgiving him but she was willing to help him. Luffy agreed telling Camie you all would help her.
