Bird Cage

You pushed yourself away from Zoro. "I will do what I can to protect instead of hurting.. I don't want to hurt you, but I can't control it so stay away." You raised your hands eyes turning back to white. Hair still cerulean blue. "Water lock!" You made a lock on the bird cage grunting out feeling it fight you. Zoro went to grab you again. "Zoro....just leave me here I'm holding back the bird cage as much as I could...." "I can't do that. You know I can't." Zoro felt your form shake in his hold. Your eyes had still been a bright white. He shook his side throb in pain. "ZORO GET OUT OF HERE PLEASE! I DON'T WANT TO HURT YOU!!" Zoro shook his head. "THEN GET CONTROL IF YOU DON'T WANT TO HURT ME!" You cried out at his words trying desperately to grab control and use your magic properly. "I can't control it Zoro!!" You sobbed crying loudly feeling your body begin to burn. Feeling another surge of energy, you quickly shot it up letting it hit the dome. It threw him back roughly. Zoro ran to you throwing himself on you. "C'mon my sweet girl calm down...." Zoro whispered into your ear ignoring the pain in his side. "I know it hurts, but Y/N she's gone! She's not coming back-" You screamed again pushing him away with an explosion. "JUST BECAUSE SHE'S GONE DOESN'T MEAN YOUR ALONE!!" Zoro yelled out grunting. "SHE WILL ALWAYS BE WITH YOU EVEN IN DEATH!! YOU STILL HAVE PEOPLE WHO CARE FOR YOU!!! YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE PEOPLE WHO CARE FOR YOU!!!!" You cried at his words. "I couldn't p-protect her!! I promised everything would be fine and I hurt you!!" Zoro looked at you sadly as you continued crying, "I lied!! I had wanted an adventure!! But I don't even deserve one Zoro!! I was finally at peace and happy!! She died in my arms! I promised no one I cared for would die in my arms or on my watch again! I promised I would never hurt the people I care for!!! I'm not strong!! And I don't deserve to have a life when I couldn't protect her!! I have fallen so many times I thought this last time after defeating my past I wouldn't.....I wouldn't have to feel that pain again!!" Your eyes finally turned back to normal as you looked at Zoro. "I don't deserve to live....Zoro I was supposed to be the one he stabbed..She saved me one last time..." You wrapped your arms around yourself looking ahead seeing her body lay outside the dome. "I just really want to be alone right now...How am I gonna tell Law? Her captain and lover...H-How can I-I," You hiccuped, "How can I-I ever go on knowing that even after two years of training? I still lost someone!" Zoro stood up calmly walking to you kneeling down in front of you. "You are not alone. When we lose someone we love...we must learn not to live without them, but to live with the love they let behind. Y/N she loved you. She may have never said it, but she did. Your life to her meant way more than her living. She saved you because she wanted you to live on for her." You cried letting your hair turn back to normal. Zoro opened his arms letting you jump onto them. You clutched him tightly gasping for air. "I know it hurts...I know it feels like the world and everything is crashing down, but you will be okay and you will move on from this. B/FN would want you too. As long as there is love and memory..there is no true loss. You are not weak and neither was she." Zoro clutch you tightly in his arms, "You both just were unlucky." You hiccuped nodding hugging him . The Goddess stared at you both with a calm smile. "You have control now.." You nodded looking up, "Goddess of the Sea I call to thee....please lend me your strength and keep this stupid bird cage from closing in on us.." She nodded. The dome became twice more strong than it had been before. "I'm so-" "You don't have to apologize and I'm not going anywhere..." You nodded closing your eyes leaning on him. "Thank you..." Law had fallen down looking in shock at the Goddess standing up holding the bird cage. "Trafalgar." He looked up seeing Robin. "She had lost control. Zoro has calmed her down now, but-" "Why did she lose control?" Robin sighed sadly before nodding her head at B/FN lifeless body. "NO!" Law crawled towards her as best as he could trying to reach her. "No...you don't get to leave! Not after your promise! You knew what today meant to me!" He grunted out hovering her cold body. "Law..." Your hoarse voice croaked out as you exited sitting next to him. "She's gone-" "She's not gone!" You shook your head understanding his pain. "Yes Law she is.." You grabbed his shoulder as he gasped out looking at her. "How did this-" "She saved me one last time...Diamente had sent a hit towards me that I didn't see...She moved me to take it...Law I'm sorry-" "If your sorry then her death would mean nothing. She saved you knowing how much Corazon meant to me....She saved you because you meant the most to Corazon and to her. Apologizing would make her death mean meaningless. You are one of the strongest people I've met Y/N..Her death doesn't define your strength." You grew teary eyed falling down again. Zoro went to you pulling you on his lap. Law bit his lip feeling tears prick his eyes as he sat up moving her onto his lap. "I couldn't keep my promise of protecting you...I will keep the promise of defeating him though. Straw Hat is on the move and I need to go with him. When I get back let's have a cup of tea together one last time and maybe make some food that the others will keep picking at." Law stood quiet as he gently laid her back down. "Can you guys watch her body for now? Y/N please hold back the bird cage buy us more time-" Law grunted out trying to stand. "Your hurt-" "I'm fine trust me these wounds are nothing compared to the pain in my chest right now.." He shook angrily. "Her death will not be in vain."
