They walk into the house
Maddie-"So how was school hun?"
Mikey-"It was good, we are starting a project in Mr. Storks class".
Shane-"Oh really what did you choose?"
Mikey-"To sing".
Shane-"I would be careful with that one son".
Maddie-"Oh let him be babe, I think it's great".
Shane-"Whatever you say".
Mikey-"Jess just texted she said that Brian is home, you actually called him?"
Shane-"Matter of fact I did, now why don't you go do your homework".
Maddie-"Shane what is the matter with you?"
Shane-"It's nothing".
Mikey-"I'm gonna go to my room, sorry if I made ya mad about the whole singing thing". (goes to his room)
Maddie-"Why are you always grumpy when that subject comes up?"
Shane-"I know I shouldn't be, but it just gets to me".
Maddie-"I don't think Julie met no harm".
Shane-"Well I'm still waiting for the day that he tells Jessica why she left".
Maddie-"I'm sure Brian will eventually".
Shane-"I'm gonna go talk to Michael".
He goes up to Mikeys room and hears singing
Shane-"Did you write that yourself?"
Mikey-(jumps) "Dad you scared me, yeah I did, well actually me and Jess did".
Shane-"I'm sorry for being grumpy son". (sits on his bed)
Mikey-"It's okay I know how it makes you feel when I talk about it". (hugs him)
Shane-"Well come downstairs your mum has dinner ready".
They head downstairs to eat dinner
