       ELEANOR POV

"It's time to wake up Elly. I'm not going to make you go to school today but I would like for you to wake up right now." Lincoln says waking me up.

I keep my eyes closed.

"Eleanor I'm serious"

He did indeed sound very serious.

"I'm up, I'm up"

"Get ready and meet me for breakfast downstairs please."

I sit up, and watch him leave. The please was a nice touch. I groan swinging my legs over the bed, and get up. I pick out some clothes and take a quick shower.

When I get out, I wrap a towel around my body, and trace the scars on my collar bones. The hypertrophic scars caused from myofibroblasts in my body producing too much collagen when the scars were healing. Probably due to the fact that Henry never gave them the chance to heal.

There isn't much I can do to get rid of it. Remedy after remedy that doesn't work, at most it would fade the color.

It's just a daily reminder of my life. Every scar has a story, and that isn't something I think I will ever learn to appreciate. Every time I see it, or feel it. I'm back in that house. Back in that basement.

No matter what happens, I don't think I will ever be able to escape it.

Getting dressed, I pull on an oversized hoodie, and some ripped jeans. And after looking for what felt like forever through my sock drawer, I got some nylon socks and put on my checkered vans.
