hanahaki disease
- an illness born from an unrequited love
- causes the patient's crush's favourite flowers to grow in the patient's lungs and throat
- also causes the patient to cough out/throw up flowers and flower petals, along with blood
- the only cure is for the love to be fulfilled
- another option is surgery, but then all romantic feelings towards the crush will disappear
- if the love isn't fulfilled soon enough, the flowers will fill the patient's lungs and suffocate them (normally hanahaki lasts for 2-3 months before killing the patient, some cases can last up to a few weeks though)
