Emilie's POV
I was forced to see Ms. Morrell since I watched Matt die, in all honesty I was ready to throw a party with it. "You know when you're drowning, you don't actually inhale until right before you black out. It's called voluntary apnea. It's like no matter how much you're freaking out, the instinct to not let any water in is so strong that you won't open your mouth until you feel like your head's exploding. But then when you finally do let it in, that's when it stops hurting. It's not scary anymore. It's - it's actually kind of peaceful." I said. "Are you saying you hope Matt felt some peace in his last moments?" Ms. Morrell asked me. "I don't feel sorry for him." I said. "Can you feel sorry for the nine - year - old Matt who drowned? She asked. "Just because a bunch of dumbasses dragged him into a pool when he couldn't swim doesn't really give him the right to go off killing them one by one. And by the way, my dad told me that they found a bunch of pictures of Allison on Matt's computer. And not just of her though. I mean, he photoshopped himself into these pictures. Stuff like them holding hands and kissing. You know, like he had built this whole fake relationship, he also tried to violate me. So yeah, maybe drowning when he was nine years old was what sent him off the rails, but the dude was definitely riding the crazy train." I said to her. "One positive thing came out of this, though. Right?" She said. "Yeah. Yeah, but I still feel like there's something wrong between us. I don't know. It's just like tension when we talk. Same thing with Scott and Sage." I said. "Have you talked to then since that night?" Ms. Morrell asked. "No, not really. I mean, they got their own problems to deal with though. I don't think Sage's talked to Allison either. But that might be more her choice, you know. Her mom dying hit her pretty hard. But I guess it brought her and her dad closer. Jackson? Jackson hasn't really been himself lately. Actually the funny thing is, as of right now, Lydia and Grace are the one who seems the most normal." I said. "And what about you, Emilie? Feeling worried about your relationship with Scott?" Ms. Morel asked. "Why would you ask me that?" I asked. "Just wondering." Ms. Morrell said. "Well don't." I said and left. I found Scott and ran up to him. "Emilie what's wrong?" He asked. I kissed him and pulled back. "I'm sorry for not talking to you." I said. "It's fine, crazy stuff went down." He said kissing my cheek. "Good, so how's your Mom?" I asked. "Well she hasn't kicked Sage or I out, want to come to the vet clinic with me, Deaton misses his resident puppy petter." Scott said, I smiled Deaton wanting me there to calm dogs down. I was at the animal clinic petting a dog they were working on to calm it and heard a jingle from the door. "Would you mind seeing who that is?" Deaton asked Scott. Isaac came in nervously. "It's okay, Isaac. We're open." I said smiling. "Why does it smell like that?" Isaac asked. "What?" I asked. "Sage and Scott said almost the same thing to me a few months ago. One day they could somehow tell the difference between which animals were getting better and which were not." Deaton said. "You can do that?" I asked the twins. "Yeah, how do you think I can tell you're in distress." Scott said. "He's not getting better, is he? Like cancer." Isaac said. "Osteosarcoma. It has a very distinct scent, doesn't it? Come here. I know you're well aware of what your new abilities can do for you. Improved strength, speed, and healing. You ever wonder what it could do for others? Give me your hand. Go on." Deaton said and Isaac put his hand on the dog and took some of it's pain and he was shocked, is it weird that I wanted to protect Isaac from all the bad things. "What did I do?" Isaac asked. "You took some of his pain away." Sage said smiling. "Only a little bit. But sometimes a little can make quite a difference." Deaton said. "It's okay. First time he showed us, I cried too." Scott said. I continued to pet the dog. I was with Scott chatting with Isaac. "They're leaving tonight, during the game." Isaac said. "So, why are you telling us?" I asked. "I'm not telling you. I'm asking you. I'm asking for your advice." Isaac said. "From us? Why?" Scott asked. "Because I trust you both." Isaac said. "Why?" I asked.  "Because you both always seem to want to do the right thing." Isaac said. "First full moon he mated me." I said. "I usually have no idea what I'm doing. Actually I always have no idea what I'm doing." Scott said. "Hmm. Do you want to let me know what you're doing right now?"  Isaac said. "I'm not going anywhere if that's what you mean. I have too many people here who need me." Scott said. "Well, I guess that makes me lucky 'cause uh - 'cause I don't have anyone, so." Isaac said. "Are you gonna go with them?" I asked. "Yeah. Yeah, I think I will. Good luck with the game though." Isaac said. "Well, thanks, but I'm not - I'm not going either. Can't even think about playing some meaningless game right now." Scott said. "You weren't at practice last week, were you?" Isaac asked. "No, Sage and I skipped it. Why?" Scott said. "Then you didn't hear?" I asked curious. "Hear what?" Sage asked walking in with a box. "Jackson was there." Isaac and I said. "What do you mean there? Like, he was..." Scott trailed off. "As if nothing had happened." Isaac said. "Really? That means - the game tonight?" Scott asked. "Yeah. He's playing." I said. I was now in the boy's locker room taking pictures of it and some of the clothes guys, I sat down on one of the benches. "Good morning. In less than an hour, aircraft from here will be joining others from around the world. And you will be launching the largest aerial battle in the history of mankind." Coach Finstock said while Conner held an amp. "What?" Ms. McCall asked. "Mankind - that word should have new meaning for all of us today." Coach continued. "What the hell is he talking about?" Ms. McCall asked. "He does this every year." I said. "Seriously?" Ms. McCall asked. "Yeah." Stiles agreed with me. "We are fighting for our right to live." Coach said. "Yeah!" Some of the players cheered. "Wait, is this?" Ms. McCall asked. "Yeah, it's the speech from Independence Day." I said nodding. "But as the day the world declared in one voice - " Coach said. "It's Coach's favorite movie." Stiles said as Conner looked ready to scream. "We will not go quietly into the night!" Coach said. "He doesn't know any sports speeches?" Ms. McCall asked. "I don't think he cares." I said and Conner nodded, as of way saying he heard me. "Today we celebrate our Independence Day!" Coach said. "Yeah!" Some of the players yelled again. "Well spoken, coach. I might have chosen something with a little more historical value, but there's no denying your passion. And while I haven't been here long, there's no denying my pride in having a winning team for this school. I know you'll all be brilliant tonight, even with only one co - captain leading you. Now, I'm your principal, but I'm also a fan. So don't think I'll be content to watch you merely beat this team. Get out there and murder them." Gerard said and I slowly tried to hide I was a girl. "You heard the man. Asses on the field!" Coach said. "Yeah!" The players yelled. I walked up to Conner. "Jackson's playing?" I asked. "I tried everything, I even told Bobby I would do all of Sage's schoolwork so he could play." Conner said. "None of it worked, well Scott can still play." I said. "Yeah at least that will help us." Conner said. I was now outside sitting with Sage and Stiles. "Your dad coming?" Sage asked us. "Yeah, he's already here." I said pointing to where he sat with Ms. McCall and Isabelle. "You seen Allison?" Sage asked. "No, you seen Lydia?" Stiles asked. "Not yet." Sage said. "She texted me they're on their way." I said. "You know what's going on?" Stiles asked as Scott walked up. "Not yet." Scott said kissing my head. "It's going to be bad, isn't it? I mean, like people screaming, running for their lives, blood, killing, maiming kind of bad?" I said. "Looks like it." Sage said. "Scott and Sage, the other night seeing my dad get hit over the head by Matt, you know, while I'm just lying there and I can't even move, it just - I want to help, you know, but I can't do the things that you two can do. I can't." Stiles said. "It's okay." Sage said. "We're losing, guys." I said. "The hell are you talking about, Princess? Game hasn't even started. Now Stilinski put on your helmet and get out there. You're in for Greenberg." Coach said. "What? What happened to Greenberg?" Scott asked. "What happened to Greenberg? He sucks. Stilinski sucks slightly less." Coach said. "I'm playing? On the field? With the team?" Stiles asked confused. "Yes, unless you'd rather play with yourself." Coach Finstock said. "I already did that today, twice." Stiles said. "I didn't need to hear that." I said. "Get the hell out there!" Coach yelled and Stiles and Scott ran out. I went up to the side of the bleachers where Dad, Isabelle, and Ms. McCall were sitting. "Oh, no. Why is my son running out to the field?" Dad said. "Because he's on the team?" Isabelle and I asked him. "He is." Dad said. "Mm - hmm." Isabelle and I hummed. "He's on the team. He's - he's on the field. My son is on the field!" Dad yelled standing up as Lydia walked up to us. "That helped me find you." Lydia said. We were watching the game and I saw Stiles fumble. "Oh, he's just a little nervous. Plenty of time to turn it around." I said. "Sit down, McCall 2." Coach said. "But, coach, we're dying out there." Sage said. "Oh, we're aware of that." Conner said. "Now sit."  Coach said. I saw Isaac walk in and sit down. "You came to help." I said sitting down on a bench. "I came to win." Isaac said. I saw Scott leave the field and grab me. "Scott', what?" I asked as he got me behind the bleachers and he handed me the padding. "You'll play as me." Scott said. "Why?" I asked. "Gerard is talking to Sage and I so to hopefully win, you'll go out as me." Scott said and put his helmet on me and handed me the lacrosse stick, my hair was on the helmet and I could see and pushed me out in the field. "McCall get out there!" Conner yelled. I walked out there and held the stick, I saw Isaac and Sage have a disbelief look. "Your idea is put Em out as Scott?" Isaac asked. "No, Scott did that since Gerard is in his head." Sage said. "Emmy what are you doing?" Stiles asked. "Playing lacrosse." I said shrugging. I was playing and moving between people considering my height and size it was easy. "When did McCall become so light on his feet?" Coach asked. "Lahey! Seriously, what the hell is your problem?" Conner asked. I saw Jackson get some venom in Isaac and Isaac hurt his hand we went over. I still had the helmet on pretending to be Scott. "It's not broken. But I can't move it. I think Jackson nicked me 'cause I can feel it spreading." Isaac told me. After the EMT's took Isaac we all looked at Sage. "McCall 2. Either you're in or we forfeit." Coach said. We played and I was surprisingly good and scored a few points. "Oh, oh, oh. Ah!" Stiles said as he got the ball. "Oh, crap." I heard Dad and Isabelle say."Stilinski! Shoot it. Shoot the ball! Shoot it, you idiot!" Conner yelled. "Shoot it!" Lydia yelled and Stiles shot it and won. "I scored a goal? I scored a goal! I scored a goal!" Stiles yelled. "We won!" I yelled. "We did it. We won!" Coach yelled and hugged Conner. "Yes." Lydia said and kissed Stiles. "Yeah!" Stiles yelled. I went to the back of the bleachers and took off the padding and walked back out and I was grabbed from behind. "Talk and I'll kill everyone here." Gerard said. I nodded and he tied me and gagged me putting me in the car and came back with an unconscious Stiles, well this a lovely end to a sports game.
