So, the night had been relatively easy for everyone. That was unless someone found Ivor asleep in the library. Headaches had become an often occurrence for Gabriel. Ash was growing worried. She hoped that Ivor would find an answer to this soon. Some nights she wouldn't even sleep. Of course when Gabriel had found out she had, he wasn't happy. He said that he would be okay ("Please, Angel, do not worry about me. I'll be okay, I promise,")
Fortunately, Ivor had finally found something, "Where did you say that you felt the pain?" He said looking at the warrior. Gabriel sighed,
"Shoulders and forehead," He said, exasperated. How many times had they gone over this now? Ivor paced up and down for a short while until he said, "Have you had any odd dreams at all?"
Gabriel stared, "No, why?"
Ivor heaved a small sigh, shaking his head and looking grim, "I had a feeling this would happen,"
Ash rolled her eyes, "You had a feeling that Gabriel would go through what sounded like torture?" She asked, sarcasm dripping in her tone. Gabriel chuckled and Harper suppressed giggles. Ivor looked tempted to slap her but didn't because of what she was to Gabriel. Instead he just said,
"No. You see, long ago, there were two types of ancient magic. Dark and Protection. The Dark magic users were known as the Kieanaas. And the Protection magic users as the Phoenixes.
There was a war between Kieanaas and the Phoenixes. That was until the Phoenix Order showed up. The battle was won but at a cost. The Phoenix Order disappeared and supposedly retired. Along with them, the Kieanaas. But many years later, someone had brought them back to power and it's down to the Phoenix Order's descendants to defeat them..."
Gabriel was still, he didn't know how to feel. Scared? Shocked? Amazed? Silence echoed around the hall. Finally, Gabriel decided on an emotion,
"You mean I have to fight them alone?" He bit his tongue. Everything had been fine until now. Ash interlocked her fingers with his, smiling,
"You won't be fighting alone,"
Ivor nodded, "You never will,"

So, Gabriel was scared. He had to defend the world when he couldn't even defeat the Ender Dragon. This didn't bother him as much as the previous night however. There were blurs of battle. Blood. Yells. He couldn't guess which phoenix he was descendanted from. He walked into the main part of the hall. Lukas was there, talking to Jesse and Ash. He held a book in his hand. Ash said,
"That's pretty neat, Lukas,"
The boy smiled, "Heh, thanks," The blonde looked over to where Gabriel was standing. Surprise lit the blue-green eyes. Gabriel nodded his greeting, walking over. He stood behind Ash and entangled his fingers (freed from their usual gauntlets) in her hair. Ash made a small noise of surprise before realising that it was Gabriel. She relaxed and just let him play with her hair while they all talked. Jesse and Lukas mostly wanting to talk about their relationship.
