"i'll give you guys some space" your mom placed down teas, "makato."
"okay..." he followed her upstairs
"come on" you rubbed his shoulder, "talk to me"
semi looked down at his finger and was quiet for a couple of minutes. you looked around the room and tried to think about what to say to him. from the past, you would say that semi speaks what's on his mind but to a certain extent.
"eita" you faced him, "why aren't you seeing your parents now?"
"i can't look at them right now" he mumbled
"when do you plan on seeing them though" you added
"later" he sighed and dropped his head, "shit..."
"i'm not gonna force you to say anything" you said, "but i know there's something else that's bothering you"
he picked his head back up and smiled at you, "i came here to tell you something"
"yeah i remember earlier" you leaned back on the couch

the room became silent and you looked back at him. he didn't lean in or make a sudden movement, as expected. though, you knew in the back of your head what he might say today.
