I hate that your shadows lurk
Among sunkissed solids.
They lurk among my daydreams,
And haunt my sunset strolls. The loneliness follows me around during the daytime,
And stands in the corner of my room in the night.
I should be comforted to have you attached to my hip.
But your shadows lurk among the shallows of my happiness.
And they kiss my feet on my trips to the sea.Your shadows are lingering, I wish they would go,
So I'd stop seeing the hurt everywhere I go.
They scream at me in the mornings,
And beat me to sleep. They're the hug from the darkness,
In the pale moonlight.
They'd remind me of all the things I never said,
And I could only wish you werent dead.
Your shadows lurk amongst the living. I wish they'd go.Your ghouls, like careless bodyguards are all around yet still they fail to protect me.
I was told you'd watch from above,
Never thought I'd see you in every dove.Your shadows linger in the corners of my brain,
And the love I never gave, leaves blood stains.
