In that one moment,
Our eyes made four and I was spent.
Your eyes were much more valuable than any diamond or pence. Those hazel coloured eyes,
Blessed as the melanin in your skin.
And a deeper beauty within. Those round orbs pressurized by your troubles should shed not a single tear.
Not as long as I'm here. They weren't crystal balls,
But I could see my future with you and your shawl. Those hazel brown eyes,
Like the wood of the forest beneath the blue skies. They had me drowning beneath tides.
And smiling towards the skies.
Those hazel brown eyes.
