Chapter 5 (Seth's POV)

"I found her!" I called to her family, who were spread out through the woods looking for her.

"Take her back. We can deal with her there. There isn't anyway she'll be leaving again for a while though." Cole said, backing away from her. She was bleeding, I didn't know vampires could bleed -- was that even possible?

I sqauted down and ripped the t-shirt I had on to tie up her wounds. Her head was bleeding perfusely along with an arm and a leg. I could smeel the rusty smell from the blood meaning her family was probably better at a distance. I still wasn't sure if bleeding was normal for her kind, it seemed to surprise Cole when he showed up.

I could hear the packs foot falls, they were coming fast -- someone must have heard us. I lifted her into my arms and took off. They followed me to the border and then stopped, giving up the chase for now at least. I felt Sara twitch in my arms, then the ground left my feet. I felt like I was floating for a few minutes but that was ubruptly cut short by the crash into Drake.

"How did you catch up?" He cut his eyes to Sara's wounds. He took a few steps back the physical discomfort was evident on his face.

"I have no idea. I felt my feet leave the ground and then I was here." I looked at the house in front of us. A three story house with a lot of glass to look out into the forest and snow out the lower south east of Canada.

"She teleported you." Daniel said, startling me by coming up behind me and taking Sara from my arms into the house.

Everyone swiftly followed, leaving Scott, Kaitlyn and I outside.

"You could go inside you know?" Scott said sitting down next to me.

"I don't think she wants to see me though...."

"Good, she doesn't deserve you Seth. She's a blood sucker." Kaitlyn said in a huff.

"No she isn't. She eats just like we do." Scott said with a confused look on his face. "She was trying to figure out what you wanted to talk about when Jett attacked her.

If I was in wolf form my hair would have prickled in annoyance at the meantion of his name and the memory of what he did to her.

"She's just nervous."

"Why is she nervous?" I asked. I saw Scott's eyes widen slightly before he shrugged. He had said something he wasn't supposed to. "Tell me."

"It's not my thing to tell you, man."

"Can I have a hint?"

"It's like what Jett has with Katherine."

"So imprinting?"

"You said it, I didn't." Scott leaned back and laid in the grass. Although, the exchange didn't go unnoticed by Kaitlyn.

"Scott, is that what it is?" She asked in an urgent tone. Scott nodded slightly as an answer causing Kaitlyn to storm off into the woods transforming in a single bound.

"How does she know that I'm going to imprint on her."

"She was told by your ancestor, Garrett, he had a special feeling about her when they found her tresspassing into our land. She stumbled a little too far over the Canadian border for out taste and almost got killed. Her being her may have even caused you to change..... no how's that for faith?" Scott smiled slightly before being lifted off the ground by Lukas.

"We need you and Seth." His German accent was thick through his speech.

"For what?"

"We can't be in there while she's bleeding. Daniel is doing research with Cole to figure out if anyone else of out kind has this problem. Basically we need someone that will be able to watch her while we try to figure this out."

"Sure, no problem. I'm sure Seth has been waiting to make a good impression." Scott said with a laugh.

We walked into the house with both Cally and Sara laid down in the room, asleep. Cally had the couch and Sara was laid on a blow up mattress. Cally looked so peaceful sleeping while Sara wouldn't stop moving, like she was having a nightmare.

"She's remembering her past life." Cole said passing through the room.

"Must not have been pleasent."

"None of our stories are particularly pleasant."

Sara pulled at the tatters of her jeans, like she was looking at them. Then scruntched up her face like she was yelling or confused. Every once in a while, a growl would come from deep in her throat in anger.

"She doesn't seem happy."

"She's thinking about the boys that left her friends and her for dead after they beat them into unconsienceness." Cole said leaving water for both of them.

I felt anger surge through me, I had the instinct to protect her then feeling like I failed after she was so hurt.

"You couldn't have stopped it. It was way before you were born."

"Do you know if I'm really going to imprint on her, Cole?"

"I hope so. She's waited a long time for you."

"Then why won't she just look at me! She ignores me all the time! It's like she doesn't want me to imprint on her!" I yelled frustrated.

"Jenny saw that there is going to be a battle with the pack. I told her not to tell you, that way you could be focused." I heard him sigh. "She was so ready to tell you, so full of happiness knowing that you'd feel the same and I stopped her. I'm sorry"

"It's fine. Is that why she's so nervous around me?"

"Yes, because she feels a pull to you. If she can limit her time than that means she has less of a chance of making the imprint."

"But she still wants it right?"

"Oh yeah," he said with a chuckle. "Her mind is buzzing with it right now."

"Then I will wait here until she wakes up so that we can be together."

"Good luck, Seth."
