The poem I am about to share may seem confusing and sad mixed with moments of happiness. I wrote this poem after I moved out of my childhood home because my parents got divorced after being together my whole life. This poem is all over the place because the emotions I felt during this time was a mess of mixed emotions.

Time - 11:55
I look at the pictures,
Hours go by
Drowning in memories

Moving in - rolling on the floor
To many sleep overs to count
Friends from different ages

Monumental moments made in that house
Birthdays, Dances, graduations
Now it's all erased

No more heights on the wall
No more red paint we worked so hard on
No more memories to be made

The time there was priceless
But it was stripped away and made new
Now, it's just a blank space for a new family

I look at the pictures,
Hours go by
Drowning in memories

Time - 11:56
