A/N: Elan Sleazebaggano is the actual name of the guy who tried to sell Obi-Wan death sticks in Attack of the Clones.

Jango's Point of View

The first time Jango was saved, a Trandoshan bounty who decided to be particularly difficult had forced him to the edge of the building, and Jango knew his jetpack wasn't working. He did his best to dodge the blaster bolts and come away from the precipice, but the shots were relentless and didn't leave an opening for Jango to move away.

He teetered on the brink for a second before righting himself, a flash of white on the rooftop behind his attacker, moving in only the way a well-seasoned warrior would. Jango focused on shooting for the bounty, but he stopped when the man in white crept closer, a shiny hilt in his hand -- a lightsaber.

Jango was very much on guard, but the ginger-bearded man leapt before Jango could react and brought the hilt down on the Trandoshan's head, knocking it out instantly.

Suspicious but grateful, Jango stepped back into the safe part of the roof and opened his mouth to talk -- but he blinked, and his savior was gone. Shaking his head in confusion and mumbling, "Kriffing Jedi," Jango began to tie up the bounty.

The second time Jango survived a battle thanks to the Jedi in white, he was in an illegal fighting championship on Oznek. He'd made it to the final round, even though he wasn't allowed any armor. He'd heard rumors that his opponent, a Devaronian, had killed a few losers after the fight, which was against the rules. Jango just wanted to get the money and go home to Boba. He had responsibilities now.

The Devaronian bared his teeth, and Jango gulped. His Mandalorian strength would still be no match for someone twice his size. A flash of white appeared in Jango's peripheral vision and he turned his head, needing to focus.

The starting horn blared, and Jango was running, slamming into the Devaronian with all his body weight. The Devaronian didn't even move, and Jango made up his mind right then and there that he really didn't like this guy.

But he was on the ground, and the guy was sitting on his ribs, and he was sure he heard something crack. Jango's nails scrabbled uselessly on the Devaronian's back and he struggled to pull breath into his lungs. The crowd cheered and howled, a wave of motion and sound that rolled over Jango like a tidal wave.

Black had begun to creep into the edges of Jango's vision when the weight on his chest lessened a bit, then more. He drew in a shaky breath, slightly confused but leaving no time to dwell on why.

He leapt up as soon as there was enough room for him to do so, wrapping his arms around the Devaronian's neck and yanking. It was easy to keep up the pressure, so Jango looked around.

The Jedi in white was standing a little ways off from the crowd. What was he doing here? And did he use some trick to lift the Devaronian off Jango?

The ending whistle sounded, and Jango released his grip quickly, collecting his pay and blasting up to the rocky outcropping where the Jedi had been.

He was gone.

Jango sighed and jetted back to the Slave I with his earnings in a bag.

By the third time Jango was saved by the Jedi with the ginger beard, he was starting to get annoyed and more than a little curious. Why did his path keep crossing that of the Jedi's? And why was it always him that was saved? He wasn't some damsel in distress! Far from it. He could take care of himself better than any person he'd ever met.
