WORTH EVERY HOUR...
I used to be a boy; even then I had a heart
And now as a man, I get to play the part
I do it every day but wonder; does she know?!
I'd love that answer but my fear is of the NO
It's the day of the lovers. God today, I shall have her
I've got a bear and a flower. Let me wait for the hour
Oh this wait! I hate this burden. It's on my chest, I have to harden
She is not a girl, she is the girl. In my eyes, she is a pearl
I'm a dreamer I am told. In her eyes, what am i?!
My dreams are like wings, with them I can fly
Suddenly I'm afraid and then I wonder why
Let me tell all the truth. On this day, I won't lie
I will gift her these petals, a flower to a flower
I shall lay down these words that are draining my power
On this day of the lovers, she will know I adore her
On this day I will stop the wait, free my soul from the weight
Deep within I can feel it, it was worth every hourHeyy, thanks for your time i hope i didn't waste it. This is the poem FOR. you get what i'm sayn if you read the one before. it's also my 30th poem! (hopefully out of thousands to come)
